Yeah, I saw that too … they aren't quite sure yet how or when the two storms might link up. It's not just that we're sick of snow. They're running out of places to dump the snow that has been plowed … and the MBTA (subway/streetcar/commuter rail system) is running at diminished capability because the snow and extreme cold are causing breakdowns … and the snowdrifts are narrowing streets, blocking sight lines, and causing gridlock around Boston. Here at home, I realized today that I wouldn't be able to rake snow off my roof even if I managed to put the snow rake together, because I can't even walk out into the yard to use it---the piles of snow plowed off our driveway are too high to get through or over!! If I COULD get into the yard, the snow would be about waist-high and it would be impossible for me to move around and use the rake. More snow coming is doggone serious business.
