Good evening MMC! Happy Friday evening! I hope you are having a nice night! I have Ham & Vegetable soup simmering on the stove - it smells so wonderful in the house w/ the smoked ham shank/hock in there. It's going to be awhile before it's done yet, so I'll be in or close to the kitchen most of the night. I'm making a double batch to bring to our neighbors - the neighbor on a diagonal from us in our back yard just lost her sister & our back yard neighbors, her Mom had a debilitating stroke last weekend. So I am going to bring them both a container of soup. Hopefully it turns out!

Here is a picture of the tree skirt I just finished - keep in mind, it does not match my winter tree, but it should match my Christmas tree very well! And the tree is a little short on ornaments thanks to the 4 legged creature that lives here! cheesy Also I have something else in mind to cover the tree stand...but here you go:



Have I ever told you before that I LOVE Friday night???

Beautiful job on the tree skirt, sorry to hear about your neighbors relatives. I will be sure to keep them in my thoughts.

Turtle is hating the snow and cold, it is tough for a dog who moved here from Tennessee feeling his first New England winter.

That's my niece's normally. Most of the time when they stay, they come and start hitting me, jumping on me, and trying to pull me off of the couch by 7am.

Good evening,

Today was a very long day at work, the senior citizen shoppers were all very cranky today. You couldn't go anywhere without ticking one off, I wasn't the only one noticing it, there were at least a half dozen of us who were saying the same thing.

Our oil delivery came today, just in time, we had 2 gallons left in the tank when they filled. We are very happy we made it, especially with how cold it has been.

I made my homemade Buffalo wings for dinner, they were really spicy tonight, my lips were burning. There are leftovers, I will be having those for lunch. I also had my schedule changed to work Sunday with the next snowstorm coming in over the weekend, now I won't have to worry about calling out if the snow is really bad on Monday like they are predicting.

Department 56 has posted the new Possible Dreams Santas for 2015 on their website, as usual they have some really beautiful ones. One has really stuck out in my mind as one I would like to have in my collection:

A Christmas Story version!!!!

I am heading to bed, I am beat.

Wow what a long day! We still did not find out anything specific about my brother's condition, more than we already knew that it, they are leaving his catheter in at least until Tuesday when they will see if he can resume normal functions, meanwhile he is still hurting, I spend most of the afternoon rubbing his back to make feel better, he is not like me in the fact he is abrubt with the nurses and dr's and I tell him he needs to be nicer, then maybe they will be nicer...I don't know I am just bummed out, but I am getting ready to eat, then go to bed..have a good Friday night everyone, and I will try to get on tomorrow at some point in time!

Sorry to hear your brother is in so much pain and you guys haven't really got any answers yet. Continued prayers for you guys - hope you are getting some sleep.

Lots of fighting for the meds. It was just to much. It tasted bad. They didn't like purple colored stuff. They didn't like red colored stuff. LOL!!!

I am just making breakfast. I have some sausages from a local farmer that I can't wait to try.

Isaac is better now thank goodness. Mr festive is still struggling and I am fighting this bug of as best as I can. I am thankful I have not come down with it fully.

Work tomorrow so just enjoying an easy day with no plans.

we have had some gorgeous winter days this past week. Crisp with bright skies but downright freezing!!! Today is the first morning everything isn't frosted over!
