We are just waiting for Sophia's bloodwork results, the doctor should have them by Saturday. If all is well then Sophia can go in with Rosie on Tuesday and they will both be spayed. Not looking forward to it, can't wait until it's behind us. Poor things.
Dinner came out yummy. This is the recipe I used. I shredded the chicken even though the recipe didn't call for it. Everyone liked it. Two of my girls ate it over rice and one made a sandwich with coleslaw on the side.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbeque

Ingredients

6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
12 oz bottle of barbeque sauce
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Place chicken in a slow cooker. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl, pour over chicken
Cover & cook 3 to 4 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low

I hope Sophies test come back great & both do well with getting spayed. It is heart breaking to watch them, but it is for the best!! Good luck!

Good evening, friends! Not a whole lot going on. Waiting on my sister to get here. DH got called to do overtime tonight, so she'll be watching the kids for us. Thank goodness for her - she's such a lifesaver and a blessing. I work tonight too, but looking forward to having the weekend off!

Well after I called in sick at work I laid down with the boys and we all took a 3 hour nap, and now I feel good as new, and I fell guilty about calling in! If I would have felt this good I would have not called in, but I guess you always need to be careful and not infect ppl at work just in case right? right? well In any case today turned out to be a good day, you how every once in a while you have days that are just better than others for no reason other than the mood and atmosphere and all, I am about to cook dinner, we will have salmon cakes and peas and Pillsbury reduced fat biscuits! better go get started, I hope everyone is keeping warm out east!! Those temps are crazy especially coming up this weekend, and the deep south looks to be getting in on the action at the beginning of the work week! Have a great early evening everyone!

A long day here, we had a bunch of errands to run after work and didn't get home until after 9pm.
I tried catching up, but I am losing the battle of staying awake.
It will be a cold one here tomorrow, high temp of 8*f is expected, wind chills -20 below 0. brrrrrr

Good morning everyone. I have anxiety this morning, my daughter is going to visit her best friend for the weekend, she goes to college in Washington DC. My husband and I have to drive her in to the city and then she'll take a bus the rest of the way. We'll put her on the bus, it goes straight to DC and her friend will get her off the bus. Everything should be fine but I'm still a nervous wreck. I'll pop back in later at some point. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a chilly one here with a high of 25 degree's today. That will feel downright balmy though compared to what they are calling for tomorrow. Wind Chills of -10 to -20? No thanks!!! I have a few errands to run today and then I am going to swing by my sister's this afternoon to drop off my niece's Valentine's day gifts. They will be selling girl scout cookies tomorrow at one of the local grocery stores. Inside thankfully. Then tonight, NASCAR is back!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

I spent the night at Mom & Dads again last night since I won't be around to help now for awhile! He was a little more restless last night, but only got up twice - 1 am & 6:15! We had him walking again & he went further & was more stable. Hopefully improvements keep coming daily! Cleo was happy to snuggle with me again too. LOL!

Gracie got a bath last night, so she is ready for her vacation! I think we have more packed for the her & our friends dog & cat than we do ourselves. cheesy I'm starting to get that butterfly feeling I get before we leave on vacation. EEK! Jim got a spray tan last night - pretty amazing how dark he looks. I'll get mine today!

Mrs. Hilda is scheduled to be released one week from today! I'm looking forward to that, and I KNOW she is. We'll take her to rehab (or maybe arrange in-home rehab), but she's too homesick to stay any longer. It's been over two months! Plus, tomorrow night is the last night that Nancy will be staying with her. I'll be glad to have my wife back home to stay.

Going to lunch with mom and my brother soon.

I'm moping ... office closed at 1 p.m., but I'm still here with several others waiting for work. I'll also be working Monday---the third holiday in a row that I have worked. To be fair, I will probably get a day off later to compensate, but it still annoys me that a couple of us have had to work three of four holidays so far this year.
