Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening,





Got a lot of stuff done around the house today, made a turkey tenderloin for dinner and took JP to Scouts. It has been snowing again a few inches have landed and now it is sleeting or freezing rain out there, and the wind is whipping loudly.



LC has been dealing with a stomach bug all night, he has been up a number of times already tonight. One of us will be staying home with him tomorrow, just not sure who yet.



I did make a run to Goodwill, and found a Kurt Adler Santa's World Santa Claus, it is quite old and got it for a whopping $2. I am very happy with it even though it needs a little TLC.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been able to come catch up. We have had a few busy weeks with events, Jude's 7th birthday and party, my father in laws 60th, etc. And what's keeping us most busy is a renovation we are doing in our playroom! Someone along the line added a large closet to our bedroom and took space from our second bedroom, making it small and useless. So we knocked that closet down and we put up drywall. Now I have to just sand it today and paint the ceiling and pant the walls tomorrow to prepare for our new carpet on Saturday!!! My husband will do the finishing touches then. We are very excited!

Good Morning, Mid-Week Pines Planners.

Yes, planning a visit to our cyber resort of choice is always sure to bring a smile.

So, hopefully, will this:
Days to the Season: 254
Days to Christmas Day: 296

And wonder of wonders, in just TWO days, we will be down to SINGLE DIGITS to the one-third marker to Christmas Season 2015.
(Yep. I'm smiling. How about you?)


Cold again yesterday with our high in the upper 30's and a drizzly rain by evening.
Today? Well, the weather service says 77. (That's SEVENTY-SEVEN, Folks.)
In for a nice period weather-wise?
Guess again.
By tomorrow night, we are supposed to be down in to the low 20's with another good chance of freezing rain or sleet.
(So nice of Mother Nature. I can't wait to thank her.)
We currently stand at 43 wet degrees here, after an overnight rain.


Have a Wonderful Wednesday, and be sure to drop by the 'Pines this evening.
Carl says the theme will be "Marching into March".
Don't know exactly what is planned except that there will be a "marching line".
(Conga line, I presume, although often that camel will fool you.)
Regardless, it's sure to be entertaining.

Up the coast? As in towards MerryCarey and I again? O brother... cheesy

I've heard that the Thursday snow will stay mostly to our south. We might get a coating or so. I hope that's correct, 'cause we're supposed to have temps in the 40s today followed by a hard freeze tonight, and there's talk of having me come in to work at 7 a.m. tomorrow. I'd rather not drive on snow on top of a hard freeze in the wee hours!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a typical winter day here. Cold and snowy. It looks like the heavy band of snow is shifting south though. So we are only going to get a couple of inches. I'm going to spend the day working on a grocery list for this week and doing my daily chores. Then it's off to the Pines!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!

THIS cracks me up!!! Crazy how 40º feels like a major heat wave! My brother had a bonfire at his house Monday night - invited all the neighbors over. They said it was GREAT! cheesy SPRING FEVER!!!!

a quiet day here, I am feeling much better than I did this morning. Baked some buns and dinner is in the oven now.
Watching the original ATeam on netflix.
We have had snow and ice rain so far today, temps are on the way up may even get to 0c for the first time since the end of January.

Thanks sugar! It was so nice having a nice 15 minute drive to go see him rather than an hour drive - mostly on I75 & through construction! Ugh!

My middle one stayed home from school today, she thinks she may have a sinus infection. That means another doctor appointment today. Oh well, when it rains it pours right? The dogs have a groomer appointment this afternoon. I also need to stop at the bank and then Rite Aid to pick up a prescription for my oldest. See you all later, I'll be back at some point.
