Christmas Countdown - 2015

Evening all,
I was really battling it out all afternoon with the plumbing underneath that new vanity I installed, and it's an epic battle. Vanity won the first round (today), tomorrow, I will prevail....and kick it's butt!!!!

I stripped the threads to one sink drain trying to install it, It came with the Delta faucet), broke another one that I replaced the first one with. Then I remembered, that I had a replacement in the garage, start to install it and realized, that I had already scabbed some parts from it, to fix another sink.... And then to top it all, I go back up to Home Depot, purchase another one, get home and when I opened up the package, it's mostly made of some cheap plastic... That's going back tomorrow!

Ugggh, I'm determined now! But, I had to stop and get myself cleaned up so we can go down to dinner tonight with the wife's parents. It's her mom's birthday, it's sometimes hard to believe, that my mil is only 14 years older than me...

Other than that plumbing problem, I got a lot of other stuff done, so it was not a complete loss/ frustrating day. I have a feeling that I'm going to eat dinner and with that full tummy thing going on, I'll be asleep before no time tonight~

A Saturday hello to everyone!

Just a regular ol' dull Saturday, but that's fine … it's a day at home. A couple of big freelance jobs converged on Mr., and he was already booked from Monday through the 16th, including the weekend, so he's working furiously this weekend to get those jobs done first. He works SO hard. I'm relaxing after our afternoon errands, but not very well---we had a quick lunch at McD's, and something is disagreeing with me. Hope it will be out of my system soon. I'm about to put in a DVD and pick up my crochet. Have a swell evening! Don't forget to turn your clocks ahead!

I have forgotten a few times today that tonight is spring forward.

Unfortunately, as he gets deeper into the job, he's finding out that the work that was submitted to him is more and more complex---duplicated info, missing info, info on the wrong pages, etc. So it's going to take two or three times longer than he originally estimated. And I know he will stay up later than he should and spend all day and night tomorrow until it's licked. It's terrible that he's getting hardly any weekend. But he'll stick to it like a bulldog 'til it's done.

I have forgotten a few times today that tonight is spring forward.

A local real estate agent always sends a postcard reminder. So I put the postcard on my nightstand to remind me to reset the bedroom clock. We can deal with the other clocks tomorrow!

Well, I finished all the motifs for the afghan I'm working on, and now I have to sew them all together---all 72 of them! My least favorite part of a multi-piece crochet project. But if I do a neat job of it, it should be a stunner when it's done.

Good evening,

A busy day at work today, I didn't realize how busy until I took a quick count of how much product was left, tomorrow may be a rough day if it is just as busy. I am not going to think about and I will enjoy my day off.

the boys are feeling better, they don't have their appetites back yet but their back to being buttheads towards each other, which is a good thing. My wife spent most of the day resting, she is still a little worse for the wear. We had to cancel going out for my SIL's birthday dinner, too many sick people here.

My wife has already said we are going out to do something tomorrow, cabin fever is strong here.

I am absolutely exhausted, still feeling well. I am just hoping it stays that way.

mmmmppphhhh, that's the noise I made, as I was trying to un-buckle my belt....LOL~ We are back from a wonderful dinner with the in-laws. Man, I'm stuffed! Oyster Stew, Broiled Seafood Platter and Strawberry Shortcake for dessert! OHHHH, I am comfortably numb....

Well. I'm going to get out of these jeans and get some stretchy pants on!

I have about 12 motifs pieced together so far. 60 to go! I may use it as a fundraiser for Santa's Sleigh if it comes out well.
