Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening,

We enjoyed a busy day out and about doing errands. Did a little bit of spring/summer shopping for the boys. Everyone is feeling better, just still waiting for appetites to return.

We went to Sonic for lunch, it is only the second time we have ever gone there. We will NOT be going back, both times we have gone there it has been an absolutely miserable experience. It took them 35 minutes to get us our food, they screwed mine up, gave it back to get it right, and screwed it up again after waiting another 15 minutes to get it back. I just ate it at that point. I was seething mad, but I could never treat a fast food employee bad after doing it when I was younger. Just will never give my money to them again.

Back to work tomorrow, then Tuesday off.

I hear you about going to Sonic. They messed up four drink orders Saturday at the drive-through. I could tell by the sound of the guy's voice on the speaker that he wouldn't get it right. Grrr.

I have to tell you this story, when my daughter was like 2ish age range, she was sitting in her booster chair at the kitchen table, eating "b-sketti" and, I don't know how she did it, but as she was swallowing some of them, she sneezed!!!! And there it was, a noodle partially hanging out of her nose, about a half an inch.....

I was beside myself...because every time my wife would try to get it with her fingernails, my daughter would breath in thru her nose, the noodle would go up and when she exhaled, the noodle would come down! This went on for several minutes between them two and in the mean time, There I was, rolling on the floor laughing and at the same time a little grossed out!!! Eventually, my wife was able to get ahold of it and pull it out, which totally grossed me out....because it was about 3-4" long... It looked like she was pulling a worm out of her nose; poor thing....

It still makes me laugh to this day.....

Haha! The same happened at our house, but it was when my son was little. I have a picture somewhere of that spaghetti noodle hanging out of his nose! :lol:

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day! We went to my mom's for lunch (wonderful, as usual!), and I was walking around the backyard trying to decide if I was going fishing or shooting my 9mm, when the ground suddenly got squishy. There was a water leak somewhere underground.

The ground was saturated, so I couldn't easily locate the leak. I dug for almost three hours on a hole that wound up 6 ft. wide and 3 ft. deep, but I found it! I was barefoot with my jeans rolled up, and muddy from top to bottom, but I got a cap on it. Thank goodness my brother had a sump pump. That thing saved the day. I have to go back today with some couplings to re-connect everything, then fill the hole in.

So much for my lazy afternoon! LOL

Good Morning all, well after sleeping a good solid 10 hours last night, I was up and abound early this morning. So, off to the office I went, figure I would get in early, while no one is here, get things done and then get out of here early! At least right now, that sounds good/ like a plan for the moment...

Don't plan on a lot today, just starting a new project, and with that, should be (hopefully should be), a low key day.....

Good morning!
I'm having my coffee, trying to relax. The kittens are tearing the house up this morning. They sound like a couple of horses galloping through the house. Not too much going on here today. So happy there are no appointments. Just a typical day of errands and chores. It's going to be sunny again today with temperatures in the mid 40's. Maybe I'll head out for a walk this afternoon, that would be much better than being on the treadmill staring at the wall. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a great day!!!

Hope you were able to get those peepers shut all night long, there buddy! Man, I know how it is with that sleep thing, it drives me nuts sometimes, because you know your tired, your body knows it's tired, but the brain... It just wants to just keep on chugging along all night long.

Sometimes, you just want to tell it, dude, just chill out for 8 hours, just 8 hours! Is that too much, to ask of you.....

8 hours? Heck, I would be excited with just 6 hours!!! I'm usually lucky to sleep 4.

We broke 70 degrees yesterday for the first time in months. On top of that, it was clear, sunny and dry.
(Enjoyed the front porch rocking chair!)
This morning has started off at 53 degrees here, with more pleasant weather ahead for the foreseeable future.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a beautiful day here with a high of 48 degree's and the sun shining. It's wonderful. I don't have to much going on today. I should go to Target and pick up mom's meds but she still has one more day's worth. So i can do it tomorrow. That way I can just take it easy today and get some stuff done around here. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!

Good morning MMC!! Happy Monday! I'm jumping in to wish you all a good day before catching up on what I missed over the weekend! Hopefully I'll have a chance to catch up!

My hubby was home sick all weekend - and still home today! Flu! I'm trying to convince myself that I am not coming down with it! Wish me luck! I didn't go see Dad all weekend b/c I don't want to bring any icky's there!
