Merry Wednesday and Happy Pines Day all. I am just checking in to say hello and that I am thinking of you all.

So sorry I can't keep up with posts. Life is hectic. How on earth we are half way through March ?? Easter is almost here! Next week I will be spring cleaning and getting ready for Easter. I need to organise the easter morning egg hunt for the kids.

Spring is trying it's best to get here I think but we are still freezing cold. Cold blast from Russia these days. I am really loving the brighter mornings and evenings - love this time of year!

Ok well , I hope things are going well for you all. Holiday I am so sorry to hear about your father.

I had a big feed last night, too. We had huge, thick boneless pork chops with mashed potatoes and carrots. I finished up my pork chop but Mr. couldn't get through his. Made me think of Burns and Allen:

George: A little girl like you, you couldn't eat two big lamb chops by yourself, could you?
Gracie: No, but with potatoes I could!

Happy Pines Day!
Just had the dogs out back, it's so chilly. We're not supposed to get out of the 30's the next few days and we're even expecting some snow on Friday. Not too much going on for me today, typical day of errands and chores. Rosie also has a veterinarian appointment this afternoon, just a routine kitten visit. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Really warm yesterday and our thermometer recorded figures well into the EIGHTIES!
Cooler today, which is good because we really don't need it that warm in mid-March.
Today has commenced at 44 degrees, here.


Well, St. Patrick's Day was yesterday but Carl doesn't seem to care.
Green. LOTS of it, at the 'Pines.
And the fired twinkies? Not green-frosted. Rather they are ENTIRELY green.
(Must have been lots of left over food coloring from yesterday!)
Well, let's go.
But just in case Carl still feels it's St. Patrick's Day, I suggest you wear green.
(You haven't lived until you've been pinched by a camel!)

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! We are off to a cold start here with a temp of 31 currently. We should reach 50 this afternoon though so not to bad. I have my daily chores to do today and then I'm going to work on finding some new recipes to try for Easter. I'm tired of having the same old stuff every holiday. I also need to figure out what I'm going to get my niece for her birthday so I can get it ordered. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good morning. I slept in just a tad this morning, because at midnight last night, we had to drive back down to Baltimore and pick my daughter up from a birthday party for one of her close childhood friends that is home on college break. So, needless to say, after the midnight road trip, it was not till about 2am before we got to bed last night.

I just looked at the weather (if you have not noticed, but I love keeping tabs on the weather), look what's coming for the first day of spring:

More snow..... Looks like with this map, Merry, xmas, HMG, Sugar, etc... may get to see some flakes as well, Hecks far...There's plenty to go around, I'll share.....

I thought of that last night and I was itching to get down here and give you hard time, because hey, what are friends for.... and besides, i'm only saying what the truth is - right????

If you get the chance to, try sleeping under one of Merry's covers, you won't regret it....LOL!!!! :lol: They're warm, soft, heavy, really hold the body heat.... Oh, I'm killing myself this morning~:lol:

Like Blondie, three stooges, Laurel and Hardy, Marx Brothers, Keystone cops, etc....

I just finished a new afghan this week that was a complex bit of work (I had to refer to a video to understand the pattern), but it turned out nicely. I haven't been able to take a picture yet, but when I do, I'll certainly post it.

Decades ago, I think that's the sort of thing Comedy Central started with---they showed some 1950s TV comedies (including Steve Allen and Ernie Kovacs) and, IIRC, some vintage comedy films. But they "grew out" of that into producing their own programming.

It's a Catch-22---no one runs a channel like that because not so many people know those comedians anymore---and no one can discover them if they aren't shown for new audiences. Name recognition = marketability, and if a name drops off the pop culture radar, they're pretty much gone forever. I cringe whenever I hear "Laurel & Hardy? Who are they?" But that's the way it is today.
