I am rebuilding my coupon binder and getting back in that and we are planning out what veggies we want to plant in our garden. I have a dehydrator and a pressure canner so I plan on drying/canning as much as possible to help keep the pantry full. Want to have a yard sale this spring to help unload everything we we no longer use and all the stuff the kids have outgrown.

We need to get working on planning our garden too. So far behind!

Good morning! Got the day off from work today as I have to take my mom to her doctors appointment later. I started purging over the weekend and I think I will tackle another room today. Still not warm enough to open windows to air out the house and do some major spring cleaning. Figured if I get the purging done first then the spring cleaning will not be as bad.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Thank goodness it's Monday!! I worked all day Saturday on my small business, then pressure washing Mrs. Hilda's house. Then yesterday afternoon, my brother & I pruned all 75 pecan trees at mama's house. then we had pile up all the limbs, most as big as my thigh, to get them ready to burn. And it rained on us the whole time. LOL I'm still sore!

I was ready to come back to work so I could get some rest!

Good evening,





Just a quick visit tonight, the earlier than usual shift this morning really threw me off my day. I got home and passed out for a nap.



First day of spring tomorrow and all anyone is talking about is snow, we are only suppose to get 1-2 inches. It is New England, it is possible we can get snow until May.



Besides being the first day of spring, it is also my baby's (LC) birthday. He is going to be 7 years old tomorrow. Where is the time going? I joined here when he was still only 1 year old, it just doesn't seem possible.



My Dale Doback Step Brothers ugly Christmas sweater came in today, it is even better in person. I can't wait to be rocking it during the holiday season later this year.



I must retire for the evening, my eyelids are getting very heavy.

It was quite complex, but fun to make.

Absolutely gorgeous Merry Carey!! Well done!! I have that pattern saved, but haven't been brave enough to try it! I'm not big on the "sew together" patterns... A lot of work!! Great job!! Love it!

Grandmother Update: Granny passed away early Saturday morning. Funeral was Monday & burial Tuesday. I haven't had time to get back here to update you all. I appreciate all your thoughts & prayers for our family over the past few weeks.



We are getting back into a normal groove today, finally. The weekend is packed with birthday parties & car maintenance on Friday & Saturday & church on Sunday. I'm still exhausted, with no relief in site! Hopefully I can get my Sunday afternoon nap in this weekend.



Christmas sighting: Yesterday there was a Christmas commercial on television for a local business. It showed the "Santa train" that goes through rural Kentucky & Tennessee, throwing out gifts to children. DD & I were both confused!

So sorry to hear of the passing of your grandmother. You're family remains in my thoughts and prayers, Whitney. (((Hugs)))

I did!!!! Thanks!!! Now I'm sitting here sad because Wal Mart didn't have anything on their marked down bakery rack. What am I going to do without my day old danuts? LOL!!!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high near 60 degree's. It looks like we may see some wind to though. Not much on my agenda for today. I need to run to walmart and pick up some more allergy meds and a few other things at some point. My niece's are with my BIL for the next week on spring break so my sister is headed to Kentucky to visit a friend. She gets lost going to the north side of indy by herself let alone driving 6 hours to Paducah. So I'll be waiting on her to call saying she's lost and asking where to go. Other than that, who knows what kind of trouble I will get myself in to. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Hope your sister has a great, safe trip and your nieces have a great spring break!

I had to watch the video to understand the pattern! And it did take a lot of sewing. It turned out smaller than I expected, even though I was pretty close to gauge.

I can't believe I forgot to tell you all - the night of Dads funeral, we had to have Mom & Dads wiener dog put down! She really went down hill after Dad went to the hospital. She was Dads dog - she missed him! She was his Fathers Day present in 2001! What are the chances - it was awful! :sad:
