I've been in training classes the last two days. It was a lot of information. It'll take some time to absorb. Now I have to catch up my regular work.

I didn't get a chance to work on the Camaro last night. I'm through predicting when we'll crank it. I'll just hope we get it in the next week or two.

91 degrees....Wow! What a temperature difference, it's 41 degrees here at the house, I had to turn the heat back on and crank the fireplace up.....

I bumped up the furnace when I went home for lunch. It was 62º outside, but felt chilly in the house. BUT now it's 76º & muggy! Gotta love Ohio weather! cheesy

I bumped up the furnace when I went home for lunch. It was 62º outside, but felt chilly in the house. BUT now it's 76º & muggy! Gotta love Ohio weather! cheesy

I've been obsessed with looking at vintage ornaments lately. I've come across many on ebay that we had on our tree when I was little. My mother didn't hold on to them, it breaks my heart!

I think my dad kept ours, but he remarried and moved to Florida after my mom passed away ... then after he passed away, his stepdaughter stole or threw away his belongings and embezzled most of his estate ... so my heart breaks twice when I think of the lost ornaments.

Dad Update: Mom called this morning & they are back to square one with Dad. The meds were what was keeping his heart rate down last night. Now she thinks they'll send him home with more meds & another doctor's appointment. She called my just after 8:00 a.m. It's now after 1:30 p.m. & I haven't heard back. She was to call me when they got home & it just takes 30 minutes for them to get home from the hospital. I may have to call her now.

More bad news: DH's aunt found out yesterday that she has cancer & will have a total hysterectomy. She keeps DD after school & helps her with her homework. She was a 1st grade teacher for many years & was in the school system for 31 years total until she retired just this year. She & we are supposed to have our houses full of family next weekend for SIL's wedding. Who knows what's going to happen! She goes to the oncologist this afternoon for the plan of attack. Her doctor said he couldn't tell her whether or not she would need chemo or radiation in addition to surgery. We haven't told DD yet. I just can't deal with an emotional child right now. We'll probably just tell her that aunt will be having surgery, which will be enough truth for DD at this point.

I stayed up until 1:30 a.m. this morning to make our Fast Pass selections for our trip to Disney World in two months & was so excited I couldn't go back to sleep. I probably got about 3 hours sleep after that before I got everyone else out the door. I took a vacation day today to clean house & relax. Now with all this new bad news, I'm just working on the house trying to keep my mind off of everything. I just hope Mom can still go on vacation with us. Dad isn't going but if she can't leave him alone, she can't go either. I'm trying not to think that far ahead, but my mind is a mess right now!

Asking for continued prayers for our entire family. We are going through a valley right now, but we'll come out on a mountain on the other side, someday!

I hope and pray you'll have better news soon. So much to deal with in a short time frame ... I want better things to come for you and yours.

Good news, I'm back and I now have a hollow tooth and root canals again (except for the meds and packing in them). Procedure went really well, got the tooth all cleaned out and the infection is draining. It was worse than I thought, the infection was already out of the tooth, past the gums and into the jawbone... Apparently, it was caused because when the original root canal was done, they did not remove all of the bad tissue inside the tooth and it became infected again.

And Vicki was discharged from the hospital this afternoon. Her white blood cell count was normal and her temperature has come back down. Looks like the IV antibiotics, did what they were supposed to do.

So we are all home resting and taking our meds. Doc gave me some good stuff - 7.5/750 Hydrocodone I don't feel any pains at this moment.....
Actually, I feel surprisingly, quite good.....

Bad dentists need to be shot or banished ... there's no sense in being careless enough to not clear out a root canal thoroughly the FIRST time so the patient doesn't have to go through additional pain and expense years later, not to mention the spreading infection. The dentist who did it the first time should have to submit to the same treatment. Makes me boil.

Happy that Vicki is doing much better without the need of surgery!

Right about now, that la-la medication sounds like it would be therapeutic, if only to get you some rest and calm. Hope you can take it easy for a bit.

Yea, my peanut is already asleep upstairs. Me, I need to chill my butt out a bit and stay home doing nothing for the rest of the evening. Have to give time for the meds to do it's thing.

I'm going to try to talk Lisa into going up to the ice cream store, so I can have a milkshake tonight....Well, the doc did say soft foods for the next 24-48 hours......

A milk shake on a root canal? Well, at least you have pain medication for it ... cheesy

Thanks, snowflake ... I try to put it behind me, but it still hurts. My dad was a hardworking guy who was an excellent money manager, and in the end, nearly all of his hard-earned savings went into an embezzler's pocket instead of to those he intended it for. It took over 3 years and several thousand dollars out of my own pocket to a lawyer to resolve the mess. At least it's over and done with, and my dad is at rest back home with his first family.

going to be a very wet day here. Have to drive over to Kitchener to pick up new tires for my van and then to my brothers place to drop them off. I can hardly wait to get my van, it is taking much longer than expected, for now I get to use my nephews truck which is great, but I would really like my own wheels.
