Good evening, friends! Hope you're all having a great Friday! Today was my mom's 60th Birthday. I surprised her and brought her to Berkeley Springs, WV for the weekend. We're having a blast so far! Tonight, we just ordered pizza and are relaxing in the room with wine, TLC, and girl convo. Tomorrow, we have a spa day and plan to go through the town. It should be fun!

Happy Saturday!
I'm heading out soon to get my food shopping over with. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. I also plan on visiting my parents later this afternoon. Tonight is the last regular season hockey game for the Islanders so we'll definitely be watching. I'm going to make tacos for dinner, that will be quick and easy!

Good Morning, MMC!!! It looks like it will be a beautiful day here with a high in the low 60's. Nothing really planned for me today. My glasses are supposed to be in this afternoon, so I will go pick them up after 3. Then there is the Nascar race tonight. Other than that, I'm going to be lazy. I'm getting back more into my ole self today, feeling a bit better this afternoon, I already went to the dump, visited my grandfather, went to Jiffy Lube and had the oil changed in the van, went to Lowes, now getting ready going down stairs in the basement to do some odds and ends.... Nice day outside, the sun is strong, especially when your driving and it's coming thru the windows...making me feel nappy.....

Glad you were feeling better yesterday. hope it has continued.

Alright!!! I just turned on some station on TV (axstv) and KISS is on playing...Yes I'm an old KISS fan, was a member of the KISS army back in the 70's and I have every one of their LP's including a couple of commemorative LP's.

My cousin was a huge KISS fan when we were growing up, I still remember how excited he was when they decided to go makeupless. (we were both in elementary school when that happened.) A little useless info for you: KISS got the idea to use makeup from Roy Wood, one of my favorite musicians, who wore it as a member of The Move and Wizzard.

Sorry to hear the Bruins didn't make the playoffs. The Pens just made it by the skin of their teeth. Hopefully they'll play well.

I have made it as far as I can, still have 9 more pages to get caught up on after knocking out 15 others.

Six Flags was fun, got there as it opened so we were able to get on quite a few rides with no lines.

We stopped at Hallmark on the way home hoping they would have ornaments at 90% off like last year, but nothing was there. Rats!!!

Tomorrow is JP's 10th birthday, I can't believe he is hitting double digits.

I must get some shuteye, this is going to be a rough week at work.

Well I was supposed to meet the territory manager for a floor company at one of the grocery stores here in town tonight at 10pm for an interview. I sat there for an hour and the guy never showed up. The lady at the customer service counter said he did the same thing last night and that no one has been in to do their floors for days. (Which you could clearly tell) If I was them, I would be finding another company.

Hey there, did you miss me, Well, I sure did missed you!!!!

Well today was a very productive/ good, good, good day. I was able to get 2 coats of drylock on the walls, one coat on the floor and I also painted the floor with concrete paint; of course that took 3 trips to Home Depot and I dropped about 170.00 on paint...Man that stuff is expensive, it's like 30.00 a can of paint... it better last~

I also did some hillbilly laundry tonight as well, I got paint all over me and my new blue jeans, Lisa gave me so much heck when she saw that, so I said ok, I filled up the tub and threw the pants in there and I dropped my drawers and jumped in...I thought Lisa was going to be beside herself....:lol:

It was me, the jeans and a bar of soap....by the time I got done we were all spick and span, except for the tub, which then, I had to scrub that down..

So, after all my antics, I relaxing now, I just threw a pizza in the oven and waiting on that to get done while I'm checking the posts from today....

Congrats on getting so much done!!!! Sounds like you worked just as hard getting your clothes clean too!!! LOL!!!

Here's a thought to ponder upon, have you ever wonder just how little you can walk away from Home Depot and or Lowes with and you have just spent a hundred dollars... I mean, come on... my gosh, have you tried to price out a home improvement project lately, cha-ching, big time. Like take the cost of materials a x's by 2 and that's the labor... It's crazy. The wife asks me now a days, how much you going to spend, and without hesitation, right off the top - about 100.00 dollars give or take...

Next, let's talk about how much it costs to go to the grocery store.......

LOL!!!! I know!!! That's why I don't go in there unless I absolutely have too!!! Just so many goodies!!!

As far as the grocery store, well I think I'm going have to become a vegetarian or survive on hot dogs. Meat is just getting ridiculous.
