Happy Pines Day!
I didn't make it back here last night, the hockey game went to overtime and we got home late. Islanders lost but we're still in it. Series is tied at two, they play again tomorrow night. We had a lot of fun but I have to say it was a rough crowd. Maybe a little too rough for me. I heard more cursing last night than I've heard in all of my 46 years put together. I saw and heard some pretty entertaining stuff! And we were exhausted by the end of the game from the stress of it all, lol. But I'm glad I got to go to a playoff game, it was an experience. Very exciting.
Anyway, not too much going on here today. I have a couple of quick errands to run and lots of laundry to work on. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Beautiful morning, but we're supposed to get a lot of wind and showers later---it'll turn cold and raw. Looking forward to getting that root canal over with later today. I'm happy it say it hasn't hurt much since the dentist prescribed the antibiotics last week.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high of 50 degree's. The wind appears to have died off some from yesterday too. I don't have to much going on today. Just need to run to the grocery for a few things and then I have a doctor's appointment with my new doctor this morning. Hopefully she will give me something for this stupid cough since the walk in clinic didn't. The antibiotics do seem to have helped get it out of my chest though. Other than that, I plan to do a lot of laying around. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

I saw this in our local paper and thought it was perfect for Earth Day, The Dallas Arboretum (my favorite hangout!) and making reference to our favorite day here on MMC! We also renewed our membership at the Arboretum for another year - loving every minute of it!!!

Good evening,

Six Flags was a blast today, we were able to go on many rides including my first time on the Bizarro roller coaster. It was an awesome, exhilarating ride. The coaster is 209ft tall, has 5400 feet of track and reaches speeds of 77 mph.
I can't wait to go on it again, I love roller coasters.

JP's best friend came with us, and he had a great time, but JP just learned tonight that his friend is moving to Florida after the school year, he is devastated by that news.

I need to get some sleep, I am very tired from the day at Six Flags.

We have reached midweek, which can only mean that we will once again gather at the Shispering Pines to celebrate our fantastic tradition of Sweet Tea and Fired Twinkies. Carl says he has quite a deal for us, but he wants me to go ahead with his "count will be lower today than yesterday" prediction before making the announcement.

Days to Christmas Day: 247

We are flying towards our milestones. I am sure that Crown is quite excited to return and ring them in along with us! Until then, I will continue to announce the decreasing numbers.

The weather isn't looking like the end of April right now. Kim and I went out last night, and it seemed like mid-fall rather than Spring. Brrr! The forecast calls for high 40s today, but the wind will probably make it feel like 10 degrees (f) colder. Brrr, indeed.

Enough with the dreary weather talk. Carl has a big smile on his face and wants me to announce that in honour of Crown's absence, there will be a special on both Sweet Tea and Fired Twinkies. Carl says that if you buy one Sweet Tea, you get two Fired Twinkies FREE!

Oh, and if you get the secret password, you can spin the new "Spring Wheel" to see if you can win a free Sweet Tea, Fired Twinkie, or a Christmas Karaoke song of you choosing (sung by Carl, of course). Just say camel, and try your luck... just don't tell him I told you the password!

Good Morning Friends...I was MIA last week due to being in FL with the fam for vacation. We had a great time and now back to the swing of things w/ work etc.. My daughters' softball has started up full force so that will keep us busy but that is fine.

DH's aunt didn't get to come home last night because her oxygen level & blood pressure were low. This morning, we got a call that now something is wrong with her kidneys & there will probably be another surgery. Her sister & coming home to rest for a while & my FIL is going up to stay for the day. I'm really not feeling positive about her recovery at this point. She has so many medical issues already without something else coming up.

DD was about to have a melt down when we got the call. I think she was afraid that aunt had died, because an early morning phone call was the way we found out my grandmother passed away last month.

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

My mom is heading to her place in the mountains for a few days with my uncle & his wife. Mom's house is within walking distance of Uncle Eddie's, so it works out well when they can travel together from here. I sure wish we were going, too!

We all went out to eat last night, and I'm still full from that.

Thank you, holiday! Mom is supposed to be released from the hospital today, and then will continue with physical therapy. She is heading home. I talked to her last night, and she seemed to be in good spirits. She is tolerating her pain okay, and has been walking around. My sister actually sent me a video of her walking the halls at the hospital, and she looks darn good ;-) thank you for asking!

It is currently 31° here, with High Winds. It was snowing earlier, but nothing right now. Fingers crossed!
