Good Morning!
Happy Thursday!
Just a quick hello this morning, have to work today. It's pajama pancake day at the preschool. I get to go to work in my jammies and cook pancakes for the kids. So cute! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. See you all later!

Good Morning MMC !!!
are we sure this is April ?
11143170_10155434365100510_7322081250580476175_n.jpg

this is what I woke to this morning.

good news is I figured out what caused the allergic reaction because I woke up this morning again with my face hot and red and my left eye all swollen. There is wool fiber in this new pillow case and I am allergic to wool. The fiber content was not in English so it took some looking around t figure out that is was wool not 100% cotton, it was a mix of both. Shows how careful you have to be about imports.

Happy Thursday, countdown crusaders!

'Pines Day has past. What a treat it was! Carl was on his best behaviour, even though some of those deals he had were too good to be true. That camel had a big smile on his face all night. The Spring wheel was a good idea. I did not win any free Sweet Tea or Fired Twinkies, but Carl did his best karaoke. That camel can sing!

I don't know if our numbers are anything to sing about just yet, but they are a couple days ahead that just might make us hit a high-note! How soon are they? Well, let's take a look!

Days to the Season: 204
Days to Christmas Day: 246

We are now barely more than half a week away from hitting 200 Days to the Christmas Season. But, look at that, we are just under half a week away from the 1/3 to Christmas Day milestone. Back-to-back days will cause for extra special celebrations! In fact, it might be a good thing that they do not coincide with 'Pines Day. Who knows what Carl would have planned?!

We are still searching for April weather in Ottawa. The wind and dreariness has really made it feel like late October or early November. Even so, at least we aren't receiving any snow. I saw that the white stuff was prevalent around the midwest yesterday. Hopefully that changes today!

The workday is about to begin for me. I am teaching at Russell for the third day in a row. I have (at least) a half day tomorrow, too. As for your day, I hope it goes by very quickly. We are descending down the hill towards the final weekend of April. Let's hope we can find some May flowers on the other side.

Wherever you may be, do your best to make the most of your day. Have a Thrilling Thursday, friends!

Well, we lost power at home about an hour ago! Went out while I was in the shower. Made for an interesting morning of trying to get ready for work ;-)

I don't think I've said it, but THANKS for keeping the Countdown running for us, Brent!! cheesy

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I stopped by Jim's shop yesterday afternoon, planning to fire up the Camaro again. When I told him I wanted to crank it, he said we'd have an audience. Several of the guys from the parts store that we've been using wanted to hear it run, too. LOL! We got a lot of compliments, and one of the guys is an auto body tech. He's offered to help us get the body ready to paint. Nice!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good morning, Brad!
Very cool! Glad you had fun, had an audience, and will even get some help with the body :)
Have a great day!!

I'm a slacker, I called out sick for today. Am I sick, well maybe in the head, lol, but health wise, ummmm, no!!! Just woke up, didn't feel like going in today, I'm the same as you except I managed to squeeze in 4 in and out hours... besides, I ran out of work yesterday, so if I take off today, I will have things to do tomorrow when I go in...

Well Folks, I'm going to call it an early night on here so I can knock out a few things I need to get done. Tomorrow is going to be a weird day for me. After a few years of looking for the perfect job, I had to take what I could get. So I start at walmart tomorrow. Eventually I'll be doing overnight stock from 10pm to 7am. I have to start out on first shift though for orientation tomorrow and then a few days of training. So I have to be there at 7am tomorrow morning. Which means that I have to get up at the latest 5:30am and more likely 5am. That's normally when I'm falling asleep. Boo!!! After so many years of doing my own thing with STS though and only seeing my boss twice a year, it's going to be hard to go back to a set schedule with a boss looking over my shoulder all night long. I'll survive though. Hopefully. LOL!!!!

I'll try to check in tomorrow morning if I get up in time but if I don't, I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Goodnight, MMC!!!!!!

Sounds kinda rough. I hope it turns out to be a good thing after all.

I sure hope that it done (for your sakes) in a very timely manner, I'll be thinking about you buddy!!!!

Thank you!

I couldn't get in until the end of NEXT week. Happily, I'm not having any pain. Regardless, I just want to get it done. I'm only covered for 50% to 60% of the cost, so I'm nervously waiting for an estimate of my out-of-pocket. Then it'll be the same drill (no pun intended) to get the crown replaced.

I went through some runaround with the endodontist's office this morning regarding my insurance. I'll skip the details. The happy part was that the desk person at my usual dental office stepped in, straightened out the details, and made an appointment for me. She said I had enough trouble with the pending root canal, and if there's anything she could do to make things easier, she was glad to help. Thank heaven for the kind people of the world!

My plan was to cut grass this afternoon, but it seems I bought the wrong belt at Lowe's. Too bad. Shucks.

Now I guess I'll have to go back to Jim's shop and crank the Camaro up again!! cheesy

I can hear the disappointment in your post! cheesy

Thanks, buddy!
I just got off the phone with dad, and she is at home resting and doing well [emoji171]

Wonderful news!!! xx

Well, that was a bust! Turns out that today's appointment was only a consultation, not the root canal work. The specialist rapped on my tooth with a metal instrument, asked me how it felt. Had me bite down on cotton, asked me how it felt. Advised me to make an appointment for a root canal. (Duh!) Oh, and the crown will have to be replaced, too. $210.00, pay as you exit, thank you. Really. And they couldn't give me an estimate for the work because the girl who was at the desk didn't know how to do it.

I guess it's not their fault that I believed the work was to be done today, but I still feel "taken." I'm no farther along in getting this fixed than I was last week, and it cost me over $200. I'm pretty upset right now.

How frustrating! Sorry it didn't go as planned! :(

Good evening, friends! Got to read some of the posts, but I'm still very far behind. Thank you all for your birthday wishes for myself and for Ella! Also thank you for thoughts and prayers for EA. She's doing pretty well.

Hope I'm not missing to much here. I think of all of you daily and pray for you all as well! Reading all the nice responses from you guys, makes me know why this is such a great place! You're a great second family! Ttyt! Enjoy your evening!

Ha-ha-ha....When I saw TREK, I immediately, stopped and was initially thinking Star Trek got recalled!!!! That was until I read the actual post! I'm such a Trekkie nerd!

I hope the insurance thing gets worked out. I found out that I have a 1,500.00 cap per year per person on ours...My out of pocket for the root canal was 250.00. Lord knows how much they will squeeze out of me for the crown portion next Tuesday.... Good Luck!
