Elizabeth's play at school is tonight, and she's getting nervous. I told her she should draw on her experience on stage in ballet, but she says she doesn't have to speak in ballet. I'm sure she'll be fine.

Hope you are all having a great morning! We did end up going out with our lake neighbors last night! We don't get a chance to do that often through the week, so it was nice! We got to the lake & 1/2 the marina was up! Ok, that's an exaggeration, but there were quite a few people up for the weekend already! Here the little bar up the street - their Wed night drawing was a "must give" & everyone was going up there for that. So that's what we ended up doing & we ended up eating there too. By the time we left, it was almost dark, so no gardening for us last night. BUT we had fun & they pretty much called off the rain for today, so tonight it is a must to get in the garden!

It's supposed to be a little cooler today w/ a high of 60º but I'll take it! Might need a jacket in the garden this evening, but that's ok!!

Good afternoon sugar! Hopefully they are right about no rain today & we will be able to get out there. Otherwise my hubby has the day off tomorrow, he will just have to add that to HIS list! :lol: Hope you are having a great day too!

So ~ my sister asked me to make cinnamon rolls for them for Sunday morning after my nieces wedding! At lunch I dissolve the yeast mixture & I get everything all mixed up & I'm thinking this dough is really working up nice today... I look over & I forgot to put the yeast mixture in & I had already kneaded the dough for five minutes! (In the KitchenAid) What the heck?! So I added the yeast mix & kneaded another 5 minutes - hopefully they will be ok! But there went my lunch! Lol! I'll finish them after work & deliver them to my sis tonight so she can stick them in her freezer! IF they turn out, that is! :-?

That must've been very frustrating.

I bet they'll still turn out delicious, though!

Good afternoon, everyone!

I'm just stopping in for a quick "hello." I am at Russell again today. It's been a pretty enjoyable day thus far - a little busy due to a few happenings.

It is difficult to believe that tomorrow will be the first day of May. Perhaps we can finally have some leaves on the trees in Canada's Capital shortly? It seems as if it has been quite a while since we've had that - nearly seven months! Oh well, at least the sun is shining!

Tonight should be enjoyable. I have an 8km run, then Kim is making me something new - and probably delicious for my birthday dinner. I get a cake, too!
