Good morning, everyone!

Another morning is another day of work. I picked up a shift last night for North Dundas. It isn't all that far (distance-wise) but the only real way to get here is through the back roads. In total, I think it was about a 42 minute drive. Overall, it's not too bad. At least there was no real traffic. I believe this is my third time here this year. I was last here a couple weeks ago. It's a good school.

It was an overcast drive from Ottawa. Temperatures are nearing double digits (50s). We should be into the 20s/high 60s this afternoon with a slight chance of rain. No complaints here!

Many thanks to everyone that wished me well yesterday. I had a great day! Kim gave me a few nice presents, and I had some nice talks with my mom and dad. There are some celebrations planned with old friends on Saturday. It is hard to believe I have started a new decade, but I am looking forward to it!

Well, the weekend is almost here. I hope everyone has a great Friday!!

Let's look at them:
Days to the Season: 196
Days to Christmas Day: 238

And just like that, we find ourselves down to TWO WEEKS to the HALF-WAY Milestone to this year's Christmas Season.
(How did the first half of our march back to the Season go so quickly?)




Heavy rain early yesterday evening also brought chilly temperatures.
Fortunately, there was no severe weather.
Today has begun with a light rain falling and the temp at 54 degrees, with the promise of continued cool.
The weekend is supposed to be excellent, however!

Exactly two weeks from our next milestone? Sounds excellent. The best part is that it will be a fantastic way to ring-in the long weekend for us in Canada! We'll be celebrating Victoria Day on the Monday. If I am not mistaken, Memorial Day is the following weekend.

Memorial Day is May 25th this year.

I think of it as the beginning of the patriotic season: Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the Fourth of July. I load up the summer music, patriotic music, and John Philip Sousa!

There was some really unique things!!

I bought a grapevine pumpkin, decorated with pine cones, berries, fall leaves, and battery operated lights inside, for about $10! It'll be a great addition to my pumpkin collection!

Good Evening, MMC!!!!! It's a beautiful day here in central Indy with a high of 60 degree's. I have spent most of the day trying to sleep so I will be ready for my first night on 3rd shift tonight. I tried to stay up all night last night but that didn't work to well. Every time I moved to a new place to try and wake myself up, I just fell back asleep. Hopefully that doesn't happen tonight while I'm trying to stock stuff. LOL!!!! I think caffeine is going to be my friend during my breaks and lunch hour. I have a few things I need to get done before I go in, so I don't know if I will get a chance to get caught up or not. If I don't, I'll try to do it on my lunch hour. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope your night at work went better than expected & the caffeine helped!!

[Holiday]

Hello all! Just checking in! Stormy night here in these parts. We had a couple of good thunderstorms roll thru here this evening that after they were over, the temperature was 20 degrees cooler.

I'm switching back and forth from watching Fixing Upper and watching the NFL draft. I'm waiting to see how my 2 favorite teams do in the draft. The Ravens have the 26th pick and Green Bay has the 30th pick in the first round.

I sort of tagged along tonight with the girls as they made a shopping excursion at Kohls. While they were doing their thing, I wander over and picked myself up a couple pairs of some Levi 505's; buy one get one 50% off, so I said why not.....

Today was the last day of April and tomorrow morning when we wake up, we will be into the month of May already. How sweet is that....

Good evening everyone. I had a rough afternoon. Came home from work with a terrible migraine. I had to take something and crawl in to bed for a couple of hours. Spent the rest of the day catching up with my daily chores. Didn't have the strength to run any errands but I plan on doing that tomorrow. Feeling better now, just tired so I'm going to turn in soon. I'm sure tomorrow will be a better day. Sorry I've been doing a lot of complaining lately about how lousy I feel, I'm trying to figure out why. I'm sure I'll get to the bottom of it soon. Keeping you all in my thoughts. Hope everyone is well and had a nice day. Goodnight everyone!

It's naive to believe that you will be able to feel 100% perfect 100% of a time. All those migraines are probably trying to tell you something. My aunt has been suffering from chronic migraines for a long time and she is now a good example of how taking a breaking, taking care of yourself and stop overthinking things helps. It probably sounds very lame but being able to disconnect from the stressful lifestyle you are probably leading is so important.

I hope you feel better soon.
