Not too far away, but not super close either.

I'm not really sure what they're doing there, must be a cabin on his girlfriend side of the family? Because they have one in northern Wisconsin, that's the one I've gone to quite a bit, my parents stay there a week every summer and we usually go visit.
Either way, the photos he sent me are gorgeous!

And speaking of advancing, our count has rapidly been doing just that.

Now barely 10 days separate us from the half-way point to the Season.
SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow!



Fantastic day here yesterday with continued low humidity, highs in the 70's and no precip whatsoever.
(I intend to enjoy it while I can with the knowledge that the heat of Summer is just around the corner.)
Today has commenced at 61 degrees here in central NC.

Feliz cinco de mayo, Senior's and Seniorita's!!!!! Busy morning here. At the doctors with mom right now. Had a few other stops too. Will try to get caught up this afternoon while trying to avoid heat stroke from those 80 degree temps we are going to have the rest of the week. I'm so ready for fall!!! Lol!!! Thanks for all the good-luck wishes and prayers. Mr. had a job interview this morning. They really liked him and his experience, but if they make an offer, the job would pay WAY less than he was making before he was laid off, plus it would be an hour-long commute. Lots to think over this evening ...

Tomorrow I should find out whether my poor tooth can be saved or not.

Oh heck. I just can't stop!!!

Mount rushmore? Ha!!! Wait until you see my mountain with Santa and his 9 tiny reindeer carved in it!!!

National Christmas Center in PA bought out and made part of the Smithsonian!!! Enlarged to be the biggest museum in the world.

New line of quarters. Santa's of the world.

New line of Nickels. Santa's reindeer.

All retail stores closed on Thanksgiving and not allowed to open before 8am on Black Friday. Closed on Christmas eve and Christmas day too.

All prisoners sentenced to community service will be forced to build gifts for underprivileged children.

Other prisoners will raise Turkeys and Pigs so everyone can have a ham or Turkey on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

National Security Agency will send all husbands their wives wish lists from intercepted phone and email conversations.

Amtrak to give free rides to anyone who wants to go home for Christmas.

And just because I should try to solve one problem in the world. I'm going to build these little things called Desalination plants in California so the people don't have to stop bathing next. LOL!!!!!!

My son dropped my wife's phone into the toilet a few years ago. The rice didn't work on it. We had to buy a new one after that. The old one was and still is referred to as the "smellphone." cheesy

Lol! The rice didn't work on my daughter's phone either. I've lost count of how many phones my girls have broken!

I'm catching up on posts this afternoon on a rainy Wisconsin day with some rare down time.
I am helping my husband clear out his late uncle's home who passed in March which previously was my husband's grandparents home...lots of work, holy cow!
It was fun to find his grandmother's Christmas decor though- I was kind of like a kid in a candy store, not gonna lie!
Lots of pixie elves and vintage Christmas corsages and such...fun and wonderful memories of lovely people who treasured Christmas as we all do!

I'm sorry to hear about your husbands uncle (((hugs)))
I would have been the same way going through the vintage Christmas decor. Christmases past are priceless.

The irony is, it will be way more expensive if the tooth can be saved, because a crown costs way more than an extraction ... We shall see.

And we shall see what happens if Mr. gets an offer. It seems like a good, steady place, even though the pay would be a big step down.

I'd say take the offer if one is made, and in the background, have him keep his feelers out...Never know, something better may come around later and in the mean time, got a steady paycheck coming in the door~ That's what I would do.....

Whatever decision you make with the tooth, I hope it's a decision that you can make with no regrets later on, (if you have a choice to decide....) Either way, I'm with you my friend!!!:-D

Thanks for the advice ... That's what may happen. It's not a good time to turn down something that's not only steady, but a more stable business than advertising. This place has people who've stuck with them for 20 and 30 years, so there must be something good there to command such loyalty. In advertising, it's often a revolving door.

As for the tooth, I don't think I'll have a choice. But if I lose it, at least it's way in the back where it wouldn't show! I'll take my blessings where I can get them!
