Christmas Countdown - 2015

Well now, I'm back. All my running is done for the next several hours. I got my grandfather to 3 doctors visits. This time I got smart, I got a wheelchair and wheeled him around every where's, he liked that and so did I. He can walk pretty good with his cane, but it's just a lot of walking for a man going on 97....So, buying a wheelchair made a lot of sense.

Lisa's allergies are really going off the deep end today (her eyes), she say's they feel like they are burning a hole thru her brain, and she has a massive headache because of them, so she is upstairs trying to rest a bit. So, being what it is, that means I am limited to the amount of noise I can make in the house at the moment....

I have no plans for tonight other than just being here at home and getting into what ever I get into.

Hope that Lisa feels better & gets relief soon!

Good morning MMC! Happy, HAPPY Friday!!! I'm not sure how the rest of this morning is going to go, so I'm going to jump in here to say :hi: & then I'll try to catch up on last nights posts!

We got 17 tomatoes & 17 peppers planted last night! So excited that is done! As I'm sitting on my hiney on the ground in the garden digging these holes thinking this is a lot of work... I look over at my uncle in the garden next to ours (he is 94 1/2 years old) down on all fours (his hands & knees) digging holes! What the heck!? He's over 6' tall - how did he get down there? And how is he going to get back up? cheesy What an inspiration!

Then I went home & made myself a pizza on a tortilla shell with homemade pizza sauce, turkey pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, bell pepper, jalapeno's & Mexican cheese! I'm pulling this beauty out of the oven & the foil tears & my piece of art falls face down on the floor!! :sad: So I made my hubby take me out to eat! cheesy

On that note....have an AWESOME day MMC!!!

Gardening is so much fun...I have had my own vegetable garden for the past 35 years and before that, I just helped my grandfather with his. But, sadly, last year and I can tell you, that this year as well, I will not have a garden. I just do not have the time to spend to get the land where I would want it to be in order to have a nice garden. And if I do put one in, I will have to put an 8 foot high fence around it and cover it with fencing, to keep all the deer, squirrels, raccoons and skunks out of it...

Ohhh, I'll do it, trust me....But, most likely it will be next year. I'm a determined thing... Once I get my mind set on something, I go for it 210%, ask my wife...LOL!!!!

Thank you! This is one bad, bad, bad allergy season. With the long winter/ delayed spring, everything is coming into to bloom all at one time here. The tree, grass pollen counts are thru the roof, the mold spore counts are thru the roof... Everything here has this nice coat of lime green all over it....

All four us, are on allergy meds....And it still is bothering us~

Yeah, they just showed on our news that we were going to get a break in the pollen count. It's only going to be 10 instead of off of the scale.

See, I actually couldn't sit still that long. I ended up taking a road trip up the road to Lowes and bought a new deep cleaning Bissell carpet cleaner and a bunch of other stuff. So, I guess I'll start opening up the box and figure out how this contraption all goes together...Well, at least it's not from Ikea...That stuff, can make a person want to start drinking.......

Good Morning, Merry Milestone Marker Maniacs.

Yes, it gets crazy around here on Milestone Days.
And this is a really BIG one.
As of today.....

We are HALF WAY THROUGH OUR JOURNEY!!

Yes Folks, as of tomorrow, we begin the second half of the voyage back to our long-awaited and
much-coveted Christmas Season.

Days to the Season: 182
Days to Christmas Day: 224


Well, yesterday was a carbon copy of Wednesday, weather-wise. In fact, it was actually even cooler.
I never saw our temp rise out of the the upper 60's all day.
Very comfortable for outside working, with plenty of sun and no precip of any kind.
One or two more days, then the H&H returns.
We are at 60 degrees here, right now.

Good Friday evening, everyone!

Happy Milestone Friday! So happy to have the opportunity to sit down and spend a portion of it with you. I tried to come around earlier today, but I was very busy at school. I wasn't really on a traditional class schedule today. Since I am usually at Russell, I was spending about 30 minutes in various classes while teachers did some training on a new computer program.

Overall, it was a very fun day of going to a few different classes and then helping out in the library. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, too!

Well, I don't know of my plans for the rest of the night... I think Kim and I will just take it easy. I'll probably be falling asleep in about two hours - as per usual. At least I will have an extra night to possibly have a bit of fun this weekend... Bring on the first weekend of summer. Happy Victoria Day weekend to my fellow Canadians!
