Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening,
One more day, and I get 2 days off in a row!!! I am so burnt out at this point, so these days off are coming at the right time. It was pretty much a bad day today, I had a case of chicken fall and clock me off the side of my head. I had to sit for a little while, I was quite dizzy for a little bit after that happened. It just put me in a bad mood for the rest of the day, so I went to my car at lunch and tried to decompress away from human contact.
JP has gone with his friend for the weekend, he will be going to Rhode Island with them for a night.

It was a nice short workday---I actually got out when the office closed! This is the first holiday weekend this year that the studio personnel haven't been either working on on call! So I'm looking forward to the three-day weekend.
Plus, we had some things to pick up at Walmart and stumbled across a budget DVD that sounded good, so we took a chance: a TV variety special from 1970 that was a tribute to America, with an all-star cast and hosted by John Wayne. It was excellent! Fits right in with the Memorial Day vibe.

Good Saturday morning, my Christmas friends!
I love getting up early on the weekends. I have the TV and the sofa to myself. I can drink coffee, eat reduced-fat Oreos and watch Star Trek for at least a couple hours!
Jacob's band has a morning gig at 10, so we'll all have to get moving soon. I'm hoping Jim and I can go see The Avengers later today, then go to the local junk yard to sift for car parts. What fun LOL!

I'm just finishing up my menu plan and grocery list. I'll be heading out in a little bit to get my food shopping over with, I'm just waiting for the veterinarians office to open. I have to get Maggie in there today, her cough flared up yesterday and it very bad over night. Other than that it will be a typical day of errands and chores. We are going to have a Memorial Day barbeque on Monday so we have some things to do in the back yard as well.

Yesterday I chaperoned my daughter's Six Flags trip we got to the park at 1:45, left at 8:30 and was in bed by 10. I slept a solid 9 hrs! I cannot tell you the last time I did that...years probably!
Not much today, my daughter has a softball game at noon then just relaxing....maybe grilling out tonight.
Here is a pic of Andre and Leo my daughter took of them when we picked her up from school one day last week! I love Andre's face (he is the boxer)
