Christmas Countdown - 2015

Well I got a phone call from one of my brothers a couple of days ago, informing me that one of my grandfathers brothers passed away. He was 92 years old, and a WWII Navy veteran.

I am mentioning this, because I find that it is amazing that he has two surviving brothers, my uncle Freddie (age 94) and my grandfather (who will be 96 in September). We will not be able to make it back to Maryland for the services of course, but we did send flowers. I also called and talk to my grandfather several times to consul with him and to let him know I was thinking of him.

I hope and pray that I have that longevity in my bodies DNA as well. God Bless all of them.

Good morning everyone.
Can you please say a prayer for Molly. I brought her in to the vet yesterday for coughing and respiratory issues. Her doctor sent us over to the animal hospital for a chest x-ray and ultra sound. They found a mass. She has a biopsy appointment later this morning.

In need of lots of Christmas cheer right now! A dear friend of mine that was diagnosed with cancer less than 2 months ago was placed in Hospice and unresponsive. It's been a tough time for all involved and been heavy on my mind. Your prayers would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.

In other news... My dad seems to be doing better and waiting for more test results to come in. I am hoping for some great news about that and appreciate everyone here praying and keeping him in your thoughts.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!!



I had a pretty eventful night last night! On Tuesday Mom said she had 2 spells of light headedness, but she was feeling fine at that point. She's on a new med, so I figured that was it. Yesterday I went there, she asked me to go with her to bring recycles away so we did that, she was out burning trash, I was in the garden ~ she said she didn't feel up to par but she wasn't light headed anymore. I went to the grocery store & I'm on my way home when I get a text from my sister saying she was taking mom to the ER! Same thing ~ light headed. Long story short, they diagnosed her with vertigo. I stopped there this morning & she said she was shaky, but she looked good. She slept good last night. I'll check on her again at lunch. I'm still not convinced that it's not the new med, but we'll see! What do I know anyway! :lol:



I was just ready to take a bite of a taco last night when there was pounding on my door! I knew immediately who it was ~ our friends & their daughter on a bike ride had stopped in. (they always make a lot of noise when they arrive) cheesy So we sat outside on our patio for awhile. It was a nice night to be out!

They are airing it Saturday evening right before their new movie, Signed, Sealed, and Delivered: From Paris With Love.

Update on Gloria: she came through the surgery okay. (Thank you for all the prayers, everyone!) She'll be in the hospital for about a week, then she'll be transferred to a care facility. (I don't know whether that's only for rehab or permanent---we hope it's only temporary.) I hope we can get back in touch with her directly before long---maybe she'll ask for her iPad when she's feeling better.

Glad to hear Gloria did well with the surgery. Praying her recovery goes well too. Keep us updated as info becomes available. Continued prayers for you all!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

Jacob was selected to play in the All-Star recital Sunday afternoon. As if his ego needed any help. :wink: But, we have to go out tonight and buy him a black shirt, black tie and black pants. Money, money, money. Oh well.

Tomorrow is Nancy's birthday, and she's already ordered what she wanted, so no surprises this year. Maybe next year.
