Christmas Countdown - 2015

Just started my new job yesterday and have my first day without orientation tomorrow...myself and another person in the same position are starting together and we're getting thrown right in!

I've been listening to Christmas music to keep my blood pressure nice and low

Has anyone else thought about the fact that June 15th means the year is halfway over? Just means we're over the hump or pines for Christmas!! Happy thought of the day.

Sorry to hear about Molly by the way. It's always hard to lose a pet.

the birds are singing and it is going to be a nice day.

Going to do some shopping with my mom and son and LittleCS.
I have more time to do this because the students are back in town and my hours have been cut for the summer again. :-(

We have moved perilously close to another Weekend Eve!

Let's check today's numbers and review the next upcoming Milestone:
Days to the Season: 155
Days to Christmas Day: 197

Our next marker is number ten on the chart and (incredible though it might seem) it's the HALF WAY point to Christmas 2015, now just TWO WEEKS from tomorrow!
(Yep. Closing in on another one!)


Warm and humid is the order of the day, with our highs expected to reach the mid 90's for the next few days.
(Wow! Summer has arrived a bit early.)
It's already up to 75.2 degrees on our digital back door thermometer.

After my crazy day of adventures yesterday, I have to get some stuff done around here today. Laundry is the top priority but I hate to run the dryer when it's this hot. I don't really have a choice though. So I'll just have to run the A/C longer than I would like too. Other than that, I might run to the grocery. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

We got a lot of rain yesterday, and Elizabeth's garden jumped 6" overnight! We'll be eating fresh tomatoes and squash before you know it.

Tomorrow is Mama's birthday, but Jacob has a gig and our weekend-long family reunion starts tomorrow night, so we're having her over for burgers by the pool this afternoon. That is, assuming the rain will hold off.

Our family reunion lasts for 3 days, and we rent a facility that has an industrial kitchen, dining hall, dorms and a swimming pool. We have a big time, with homemade ice cream one night and boiled peanuts the next night. I'm always tapped to cook breakfast for 50 folks on Sunday morning. It sounds daunting, but I enjoy it. I like using that big skillet-top stove. I feel like a short order cook at the Waffle House.
