So far, so good. Hope you have a great day!
Good morning everyone. I'm heading out soon to run a couple of errands. Back home afterward to work on a few chores around the house.
My husband and I have another appointment this afternoon at the animal hospital. We met with the surgeon on Friday to talk with her about Molly's surgery. Today we are meeting with the doctor that performed the biopsy and diagnosed Molly with the large mass/tumor. I haven't really talked about the details of what exactly happened on the of the day of the surgery. There was a misdiagnosis. The surgeon didn't find a tumor when she opened Molly up. There was an enlarged heart and some lung damage from COPD but no tumor. So we basically sent her in to surgery to remove something that wasn't there. She wasn't strong enough to wake up so we had to euthanize her on the operating table. It was traumatizing. Molly was getting older and she had some respiratory issues but it wasn't her time to go. Not that day and not like that. Who's to say how much longer she would have lived. I promise I won't keep talking about this every day. So many of you were praying for Molly to pull through so I wanted to share that with you all. I have so many questions for this doctor. I don't know, I guess I just need some kind of closure.
Anyway, that's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!
The first day of Vacation Bible School went great, but it sure was HOT! I don't even mind the heat as much as the gnats. At one point, I was sitting on my truck tailgate fanning away gnats with both hands. This kid I didn't know climbed up beside me on the tailgate and asked, "Will you fan me?" LOL!
Still, it was a lot of fun. The kids burst at least 200 water balloons, some of which wound up on me. Back to it this afternoon. Fun fun!
I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy
Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday! As I mentioned before, we are quite damp around here! We have rain in our forecast all week!
We made it to the funeral home last night. So terribly sad! It's hard to see a 16 year old there, a life taken so soon! And how terrible for his 13 year old brother & of course his parents! It was nice to get together with our lake neighbors on a Monday night ~ if only it were for different reasons!
Not much going on around here today. Just work & rain! cheesy
Have a great day!!
Oh no, that's awful! I must have missed your post about what happened, but whatever the reason, I'll be praying for the family.

Happy Tuesday to all!
We were watching a Thanksgiving episode of "Barney Miller" last night, which got me to thinking about Christmas tree decorating, which got me to thinking about a dilemma I'm encountering with my light strings ... I posted this in the Lights & Decoration forum already, but maybe you folks have some ideas ...
For the past few years I have been stringing mini-lights on an unlit tree (after getting rid of a problematic pre-lit tree), and I've been very happy with the results. Last year, however, I noticed that the three twisted wires that constitute a mini-light string were un-twisting and separating from twining them through the tree branches. In some places there are wide gaps between the wires that make the strings hard to manage. Has anyone else encountered this? Are there any tricks to re-twist the wires so the light string is easy to handle again? There must be an answer other than buying new light strings when the wires come un-twisted.
