Christmas Countdown - 2015

I have that problem, too, and the only solution I've found is to buy new lights. It appears to be a quality issue, probably to keep costs down and profits up. Let me know if you find a better solution than replacing them!

I was afraid that would be the best solution ... I've only used these strings for 3 years. Maybe it IS built-in obsolescence, in which case the problem can't be licked without spending.

I COULD try stringing from right to left instead of left to right, in hopes of reversing the un-twist, but I think it would be more difficult to do---I've done it "clockwise" all my life!

I love how a Thanksgiving episode of Barney Miller turned into decorating a Christmas tree! cheesy Sorry I don't have any advice, but wanted to wish you good luck with it! Hope you can find a solution! Have a great day Merry!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be cooler here today with a high only around 80 degree's but the humidity. Oh the Humidity!!!! It's one of those days that as soon as you turn the water off in the shower you start sweating again. Well if you don't have your A/C turned on. We have been getting some showers this morning that have cooled it down temporarily but as soon as they are done, it comes back with a vengeance. The weatherman said there is no relief in sight from it either. Darn high pressure system over the south eastern united states. LOL!!!! Not a whole lot going on here today. Just need to run to walmart to get refills on my meds and a few grocery items. Other than that, I'm just going to try and enjoy a quiet day since mom has appointments every day for the rest of the week. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!


HMG- I'm so sorry. That is horrible. I would be livid. Continued Prayers flowing your way. (((Hugs)))

Brad- Tell the kids to throw some of those water balloons this way!!!

MerryCarey- You could use something like a green wire tire to keep the wire's bound tight together and cut it so it doesn't stick out real far and make it hard to string them. You may end up spending the same amount as you would just buying a new string though.

Holiday- Continued prayers for your friend's family and all of you. Glad to hear that Rosie is doing better too!!! Stay safe in the storms!!!

Thanks for the idea! Or maybe bind the loose spots together with bits of electrical tape ...
