Hi there. I had to make an exit from the office a little earlier than planned because...my Mrs. was not happy about me not being home all week. And, I had promised to finish my daughters bathroom (hang the mirror, toilet paper holder, towel rack and install the door hardware), 2 weeks ago. Well, I knew that I have to try to juggle and try to make everyone happy (especially the Mrs.), so I put pencil down and came home. I got it all done and I treated myself to some apple pie and vanilla ice cream.

The bummer of today is that my boss told us that we have permission to work un-limited overtime, all we can work..... Nice of him to volunteer us.....In my field of work, I see this quite often with getting crushed, leveling out, getting crushed, leveling out....It's always the roller coaster effect, and to be honest, after 28 years of this, 2 things are starting to happen. A - it's getting old, and B- I'm getting older and schewww...it starting to wear on me....

I had to tell the company this week that I can no longer do field work where I have to be crawling around on my knees in crawl spaces and sub-basements and such. I had surgery on my one knee last year, and the other one does not get too happy when I do work like that. I told them to send the younger guys (in their 20's, to do that, not a guy in his 50's. I didn't think that was too much to ask for, but on a very personal note, it stinks when you realize that your body can't hang like it used to when it was in it's 20's and 30's.....

Awe! :nice: But good for you letting them know ~ I hope things slow down a little at work!!

Baseball season is over, JP's team lost 5-1. It was a quick moving game, and the pitching was excellent, just a couple of errors and the other team got a few more runs to pull away. I am proud of the boys, they played well this season. Next year it gets more competitive in the 5th & 6th grade bracket.

I get to enjoy this thing called Friday tomorrow, I am so looking forward to the weekend off.

I need to get some sleep, my eyelids are a bit heavy.

Quite damp now with still hot temps predicted for today, then a respite of sorts for the weekend.
Currently we see 78.6 degrees on our digital back door thermometer here in the capital city.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday!!

So, it looks like we will need a canoe to get to the festival this weekend. It POURED last night & they are saying 2-3" more tonight & tomorrow. Crazy weather! Tomorrow they are saying a high of 65º, rain & 25 mph wind! BUT on a brighter note, it's supposed to be beautiful on Sunday! 76º and sunny! It is what it is! We'll probably have more people at our house than normal this year - going to the festival between rain drops!

I think Gracie is feeling better. Hoping I don't have any surprises when I get off work today! xx

I never mentioned ~ I talked to my sister & she said my nephews dog was throwing up too. And when I texted our neighbor at the lake who also has a wheaten ~ she said he was throwing up Wednesday night too - 6 times! And those dogs haven't been together for a month. Weird!
