Christmas Countdown - 2015

Well it ended up being a decent day here. My great aunt and uncle were in from PA so my cousin had a cookout at their house so everyone could see them. There was about 20 of us there. There was lots of good food and I found out that I'm terrible at corn hole after not playing it for 4 years. Then 14 of us went to the high school their in town to watch the fireworks. We got a really good spot about 75 yards from the football field they were putting them off at. It was a good show. It was to long of a day for mom though and she was pretty shaky after the fireworks were over. She didn't bring her cane though so it took two of us to get her to the car. Now, I'm exhausted and going to head towards bed. I hope everyone else had a great day!!!

Onward we push, now into the second half of our countdown to Christmas and forward to our next Milestone, about which we will learn more after the daily count numbers.

Days to the Season: 138
Days to Christmas Day: 180

OK.
Having passed the 50 percent marker to Christmas Day, we again refer to our count chart and discover (with some small degree of shock) that our next Milestone is the TWO THIRDS mark to Christmas Season 2015, and it arrives on July 14, just 16 days away. Two weeks from the day after tomorrow.
(Merciful heavens! That close to the 2/3 point??)


It was a bit cooler yesterday, and cooler weather yet is predicted for today. No rain either. (A welcome relief!)
It has started off here at 70 bright, sunny degrees.

Good morning!
It's going to be another gloomy day. I really hope the weather improves, my husband would love some sunshine for his week off. Not too much planned for today. We will most likely end up doing some shopping if it doesn't clear up outside. We're looking for a couple of things for the house so we'll probably run to Lowe's & Homegoods this afternoon. I would also like to stop and visit my parents while we're out. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

I can't believe we are on the downhill side to Christmas. July is this week for crying out loud. I love the 4th! LOVE IT! I will spend some time this upcoming week planning for Christmas and doing some Christmas related things like getting an inventory and a list of things we need to buy. We usually go to Hobby Lobby around the 4th to look at Christmas stuff that is out, so I'm anxiously awaiting that. A lot of good things coming.

Y'all sleep tight and see everyone tomorrow!

Yay! I love the Fourth too! It'll be busy at the office this week, but I'm taking a couple extra days off to enjoy the holiday weekend! Enjoy your Hobby Lobby visit!

I know what you mean Coach! Wow...very hard to believe that this week we will be in July already and especially with the 4th of July, this coming weekend. I'm supposed to have off on the 3rd for a Holiday, but I have a very good feeling that I will have to work. I will get paid for the Holiday and whatever I work, but it's just the point of things....

I'm toying with the idea of getting some fireworks, just to set a few off to get into the spirit of things for either that Saturday or Sunday!

A trip to Hobby Lobby does sound like a good idea.

Watch your back, friend … when I lived in Maryland, fireworks were illegal! :wink:

I sure hope you get July 3rd off as you should.
