Happy birthday to Harlowe!!!

I should also mention that my race went well yesterday. It was rough course that had a lot of stopping, starting, climbing, jumping, balancing/walking on fallen over trees on 20-30 foot ledges. There were plenty of challenges and natural obstacles in the race. There wasn't really a full trail. Instead, we were told to follow the red/orange caution tape that was tied on various trees that were usually about 10-20 feet apart. It was a little confusing, and a blast!

I was in first/second (of 60 people) for much of the race. I slipped to third just over halfway through the race. My shoe then came untied. Then, I picked the worst time to stop and tie my shoe. I lost sight of the guys I was trailing and then totally could not find a flag as I was running/walking through a rock-filled river/ravine. I lost about four minutes searching for the next flag, which happened to be hiding behind a tree and I couldn't see it from my angle. I don't know if I would have been able to pass first or second place, but it would have been nice to try!

Either way, I had a lot of fun yesterday and am quite sore today!

Well the weekend is just about over and then my grinding work week will commence about 3:45am tomorrow morning. Had a very productive weekend here at home and that's, what I was aiming to do. I finished all of the plumbing in the basement and I tested it all this morning; no leaks...! I also ran all the electric and terminated it all by the main panels. And I also got a bunch of stuff done around the house as a whole....

Well, have a good night!

Goodnight xmastidings!

Good evening, everyone!

We're nearly finished the final weekend of June. And, what better way to celebrate the second half of our Countdown to the Christmas Season than some new photos from the year-round Christmas Store (Noel Eternal) in Montreal?

Kim and her friends stopped by Noel Eternal today (for me). It was especially appreciated since it was closed for renovations when I was there about a month ago.

Overall, they all enjoyed their experience. Apparently, it isn't as nice as Tinseltown in Ottawa, but it was still a great place to visit. Enjoy the photos!

Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to see Christmas in the stores again.

Good evening,

We had a good day today, we spent a good portion of the day at the Dakin Humane Society, they were adopting out cats for $5. So, we now have a new family member. He is a 10 year old gray boy, his name is Skittles, and he is 18lbs of big juicy cat. He is a love, and he is cuddling with JP tonight. We will introduce the others to him slowly over the next few days. All 6 of our furbabies are rescues, it feels so good to help out these beautiful animals.

I am heading to bed, I start a stretch of 6 days in a row, which will lead to 3 days off in a row next weekend. 9 more work days until vacation!!!!

Goodnight, everyone.
