Drippy-humid yesterday. Got most of my outside work done in the morning and even then it wasn't very pleasant.
(Hey, Mother Nature. We could use a little relief here!)
We stand just under 78 degrees at this hour here in the capital city.

Yes, I am going to whine but since I don't whine about anything else I need something to be whiny about! Ha ha!!! It's just not fun when you step outside and can't breath! It's so hot that we don't even see kids outside playing.

You know what though??? With all this heat, it makes me dream of Christmas even more so as my grandpa always said and I live by this, "there is a silver lining behind every cloud"! So there! No more whining!!! :)

I never mean to be away from here for so long but you know how life goes. I have been busy with work and family. My mum is also here now. She got here at the start of the month and is staying quite a few weeks. She leaves on August 31 so we are blessed to have her for the summer. It's been over 2years since our last visit. It will be hard when it is time to say good bye though. I don't even want to think about it :(

Last day of school is on Friday ! I can't believe we are at this point in the year!

Anyway, I hope you are all going well. I miss you all but I know that you all understand.

My oldest is having a great time in Florida.They went to Downtown Disney last night to eat at The Rainforest Cafe and to walk around and do some shopping. She sent me a picture of a year round Christmas store that they found, she said I would love it. They're going to Universal today. I've never been there so I can't wait to talk to her and hear all about it. She's been sending me lots of pictures.
I have to head out to the supermarket soon to pick up a few things. Back home afterward to work on my daily chores. It's going to be another warm day with temperatures around 90 degrees.
Just an update on the situation with the animal hospital. The veterinarian that misdiagnosed Molly ended up contacting his liability insurance carrier and created a claim. I don't know if that is good or bad. I'm hoping the doctor is accepting the fact that he is at fault and wants to negotiate a settlement but I really don't know what to expect. I'm praying it's not bad news again, I can't take much more of this. I have to submit some information to the carrier today and then we'll see what happens.
I've got to run. I'll catch up with everyone later.

Good evening, HMG! Glad to hear your daughter is having such a great time in Disney! I've never been there either, but look forward to taking my kids there in the next few years. Sounds like she's having a great time!

I changed my avatar yesterday afternoon. The new format made the old picture look funny, and when I saw this one I loved it!

Jim and I worked on the Camaro some more yesterday afternoon. I swear, I can just walk in his shop and I get greasy. But we tracked down a transmission leak, installed the new U-joints, and mounted & wired the new electric radiator fans. Gettin' it done!

I went home for lunch & it was so nice out I didn't want to be inside, so I went out to pull weeds! I put a glove on since we have some thistles that needed pulled too! Well little miss Gracie didn't think I needed to wear a glove. She would not let me alone, biting at the glove & pulling on it! I finally let her have it & she tore off through the yard with it & I pulled weeds with my bare hand! Little booger! We were outside my whole lunch & it went so fast I could have easily been late coming back, - I got in the house & only had 4 minutes left! I made it just in time. Whew! (not that it's a big deal...lol)
