Just got back from a wonderful time with some relatives at their camp site, lovely calm piece of river and coyotes howling and crying around midnight; was pretty cool. I left earlier hoping to spend time celebrating with everyone here, but wound up with a killer migraine. Twenty miles from home, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" was playing on my MP3. I belted out that song like I was performing on stage and thinking of everyone here while concentrating on the tasks of driving.

We changed our minds at the last minute and went to the Outback for a steak! Sort of an Australian Christmas on the barbie! Also went to the Christmas Tree Shop (a bargain store). No Christmas stuff there yet, but got some good bargains. I got a brand new Mixmaster stand mixer for $49.99. It'll make some good cookies this season! I still have my mom's, but it's so old I'm afraid to plug it in and try it, so it was nice to find a new one at a bargain.What time do we all come over for dinner?
