Christmas Countdown - 2015

Days to the Season: 110
Days to Christmas Day: 152

And perhaps the biggest shock is the fact that as of tomorrow, we will be just SINGLE DIGITS away from the 100-day Season Window and the beginning of a DOUBLE-DIGIT Season count.
(And then, can a double-digit Christmas Day count be very far behind?)
Wow, like sand through the hourglass..............


Pretty nice here yesterday with reduced humidity and somewhat lower temperatures.
(Sweating may clear the pores but I would just as soon not do it.)
Today should be nice as well. It has greeted us with a temp of 74 degrees here at this hour in the capital city.

While we were out yesterday enjoying our Christmas in July celebration we stopped by a restaurant to eat. They had on a local radio station that plays a mixture of pop and rock n roll music. We heard several songs from Aerosmith to Michael Jackson, then we heard Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives!!! At first I thought it was an intro to a Christmas in July commercial but it wasn't, they played the whole song. It was confirmed by their website that they were playing one Christmas song each hour for Christmas in July. There were a couple of comments on their facebook page of confusion asking how come they just heard Santa Claus in Coming to Town. They were not hateful about it, just confused. Didn't confuse us, we loved it! :) One comment on there was of anger, "Stop playing Christmas music"! Bah humbug! That was our station for the rest of the day!

I would have love it too and sadly for the customers been tempted to sing along. When I was singing along to my own tunes, I had so much fun that I hit replay and well imagined myself in a Christmas movie driving through a snowy world singing away to the top of my lungs and the people watching realizing that I didn't sing all that well, but they'd be smiling because I was having so much fun driving and singing to myself.

I'm certain the migraine was induced from the campfire, but I had a great time so I can't complain. Starting to feel like my merry self again.

I, on the other hand...............

Definitely nicer yesterday with noticeable lower humidity, allowing me to get some needed outside work done in more comfort.
Today should be decent as well, an it has begun at 71 degrees under calm, sunny skies.

I'm not frightened, but I do realize I have to get a move on so I'm ready' think I'll be decorating on the 28th of November. Remind me what date I need to book off work so I can stay up late for the World's Biggest on-line Christmas party. I seem to wind up taking the wrong Monday off.
