Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening, MMC!

I spent the day cleaning up after yesterday's storms. Lots of wind damage outside and unfortunately the roof leaked. I had to move a lot of stuff to get a bucket positioned in the right spot to catch the drips. What a mess I had! The good news is that one of the branches that crashed down was the big willow branch that I have wanted down for years and it missed the riding mower. Yay!
Still have a lot of cleanup outside, but someone else is going to have to do the bulk of the work on the branch as it is huge. Tomorrow I get to relax and just work.

Good evening, friends! Hope you're all having a great day so far! It's been a good day here, but I honestly didn't get the best news. I'm trying to hold it together for the kids. Ella over the past couple of months has been showing a decline with her hips and has painful. I knew its expected with a going on 10 year old golden. Anyway, she also has numerous tumors, but one over the past couple of months has caused be alarm. When I pet her in that area, she seems to be in a lot of pain. The doctor looked at it today and agreed that it needs to be removed. He feels that it's not cancer, because of how it feels, but like he said, you can never be 100% sure until after the surgery. I'm a mess, but every time I cry or get upset, I just upset the kids more, so I'm trying to hold it together for them. Please keep us and her in your prayers - she still is very happy obviously and isn't generally in pain. I'll keep you updated - her surgery is set for next Friday. Thanks friends!

I will keep you, and your family in my thoughts.

Today I cranked the Christmas music up but it still got hot outside. I will turn it up louder tomorrow! Yeah, that will cool things off!

I told my granddaughter I wanted to get a few fall decorations out and she insisted to get them out and she will help so we did!!! I realize it's only August but who cares if I listen to Christmas music and drag out a few fall decorations! If it is going to be blazing hot outside I want it to feel like Autumn/Christmas inside! You all understand, right?

Turn it up loud enough so I can hear it up here!!!

I am so very sorry to hear. It just breaks your heart when your furry family members are hurting or ill. I will be praying for strength for you all! Let's just hope the tumor gets removed, cancer free and Ella will be back to normal!!!

Thanks, CAH. I may have even said it in the original post, but she's had tumors for the past 5 years, but this one is concerning to him. It does break my heart - I'm trying keep a postive attitude. Thanks for the prayers.
