Thanks. We did have a good time with Ethan this summer. We are history nerds so we took a history vacation to Philadelphia and Boston. I had traveled there for work but never as a tourist.

They're pizza looked awesome. I wanted to try it because of the wood fire, but I had one the prior day at Cheesecake Factory, so wanted to try something else. I got the Pittsburgh salad (which was a chicken salad) and the French onion soup. The French onion soup was sooo good!

It has been several years since we have been there & we ate right before we went there, but I remember the food looking very good! I'm glad you enjoyed!!!

Thanks, Holiday! I appreciate each and everyone of you, so much, as I know all of us are going through something here at some point. It's the best place to come to for advice and for prayers. (((Hugs))) back to you and Gracie - know that I continue to pray for her as well!

We are doing pretty well, thanks.

The mornings have been amazing! In the mid 50s. It still gets hot and humid by the afternoon, but I can handle that with those beautiful mornings =]

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and had a great Christmas in July . I have been cruising around the site but not as much since losing my mom right after Christmas it's been a very tough year .

Well regardless whether I work until 11 or not, I live 30 minutes away from the hospital, so I'm going to sleep there since I'll be on call. I plan on chopping and shredding up some of my zucchini and squash for cooking and baking this fall/winter to freeze. I have a doctors appointment then at 3. Otherwise, I'm just going to relax the rest of day. Thursday I need to try and start to clean this house!

The temperature is suppose to reach 108 by Monday! 104 - 107 all week up until then. Worries me for the hubby having to work in a warehouse with no air conditioning. My job has air conditioning but struggles to stay cool when hot out. Wish us luck!

We had a crazy storm around 4 p.m. It poured buckets, and the hail sounded like a crowd of people chucking stones at the building. We all actually moved away from the windows for a few minutes---it seemed like the hail might actually break one. 20 minutes later the sun was shining and it was much cooler.

Didn't get out of work until 8:15. Ugh.

wow, Wednesday already, this week is flying by.
Work again ..yeah !!! I love my job and am grateful these days to have one.

My sons dental work is turning out to cost less than expected because they can do a partial denture instead of a tooth replacement. Still expensive but only a third of what the other would cost. So grateful for this.

Excited that we are at the 100 days till the season mark already !!
and add to that it is party at the Pines tonight !!!! Of course that also means Carl will have something, um, well, special for us all.

It's camel day at the Pines.

For those who may not be familiar, we have a 3-humped camel who visits our secret hang-out at the Shispering Pines and in that third hump he stirs up some rather tasty blends sometimes containing java, eggnog, mulled wine, etc. We try and gather on Wednesdays to make it through the rest of the week with a yuletide charmed heart.

I woke up after only sleeping for an hour last night and the song, "Wonderful Christmas Time" was playing in my head as I examined a beautiful musical ornament that I do not own or remember ever seeing in person. It had a Thomas Kinkade meets Dr. Seuss feel to it. It was a snowy mountain with a North Pole sign on top and five different coloured presents ran down the snowy path to a sleigh, up the back end and back down the front. When I woke up for the second time (the first time I didn't really wake up I was still dreaming), I thought about the ornament and the song and realized that the dream was caused by all the fun and merriment that's been taking place on these forum pages over the years.
I love it when I have dreams about Christmas and who else would want to hear about them than my merry chums who totally understand how I can dream Christmas things in August.

Keep a merry thought in your head!

This morning I feel like I'm moving in quick sand. Last night's exercise class was brutal and it was more like a friendlier version of boot camp. I walked (ok, I crawled away) with as much dignity as I could muster. Afterward stopped into Walmart with my friend and didn't intend on buy much of anything and spent 54 bucks. Not my plan at all. I thought I could just let Buttercup out the back yard for the night to do her business but she wasn't having any of that and I had to walk her but lucky my oldest daughter saw how slowly I was moving and decided to go with us and she ended up walking her while I scooped her poop. Normally, I would say I got the raw end of that deal but at least I wasn't being pulled in one direction while my body wanted to head into another (home). I didn't throw my phone out the window this morning when my 4:45 am alarm went off for my daily speed walk with my buddy. I got through it. Took my time getting ready for work and now I'm here in my office hoping and praying I won't have to get up and down to much. Otherwise it's gonna be a wonderful Wednesday, LOL!!!!

Not too much going on here this morning. I straightened up the house and started working on the laundry so far. My youngest has off from work today so we're going to grab lunch and do some shopping together. I'm going to stop at the pasta store while we're out to pick up fresh raviolis for dinner for my husband and the girls. It will be chicken and veggies for me since I'm trying to lose a few pounds. I'll squeeze my workout in later this evening, that time seems to be good for me. Mornings are kind of busy getting everyone up and out. That's about it for me. Hope everyone is well and has a great day!

I hear and feel the pain; I used to get like that with the Spin Cycle Boot Camp classes - ye-ouch! Walmart is the $100.00 store, go in expect to buy a few things and leave saying "where'd my money go?"

My friend always says, Walmart costs $100 per hour. That's just about right!
