Good evening,
I am on vacation, again!!! I am very tired and we have a very, very busy weekend ahead of us. My wife's family from Canada are coming down for the weekend to celebrate my MIL's 60th birthday party. Her birthday was back in March, but this is the first time they have been available to visit. So I may be sparse in these parts the next few days.

I just got an email from Bath and Body Works. All fall candles are 2 for 24 bucks - yay! That's what I have been waiting for and I have a coupon for 10 bucks off any purchase of 30 bucks or more. Guess what I will be buying this weekend???

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to have some blood drawn this morning for my physical next week. Ouch! As you know, I live in a small community, and everybody knows everybody, pretty much. I was the first person the waiting room, and I had my back to the front door. I heard someone walking in the door behind me and say, "Hey, Brad!" I turned around and had a conversation with him, then he went in the back. A few minutes later someone else walked in and said "Good morning, Brad!"

Like I said, it's a small town, but everyone knows me by the back of my head? Did I get a tattoo back there without remembering?

Seriously. I'm asking. The 90's were a blur.

Good morning MMC from Vermont !
having a heat wave back home with lots of extreme heat warnings out. Yesterday it was 95f there. So glad they have a good AC .
It is going to be hot here in Vermont too, 88f today. We are headed into the mountains, smugglers notch and Stowe area. My brother is going to walk up the hill under the ski lift, we are going to sit at a picnic table and watch him.
I am enjoying this holiday, lots of extra sleeping, learning more crochet stitches from my sister and sister inlaw (so much easier when someone shows you how to do it!), catching up on my reading and visiting.
Hope you all have a fantastic day !

Hard workday ... in at 9:30 a.m. ... no idea when we will get out tonight ... have been told to come in an hour early tomorrow morning.
Ate the lunch I packed; nothing here in the office for dinner. Ack.

It's been hot and humid, reaching the 90s for the past week and a half .
We had a cool down come in overnight, and will be lasting for part of this week . Storms quite a bit, and mid 60's for the high come Wednesday! Lows in the 40's! Crazy!! I'll take a dose of some Fall weather!

Sounds like you are going to be warmer there than we are here! High of 84 today & tomorrow, then a high of 76 for Sunday. But the humidity is supposed to be high! We have a "peak alert" from the electric co-op today!

I noticed for this first time this morning how dark it's getting in the morning. The days are getting shorter, as is the time until Christmas!! Have a great Monday!!

Today, the high is 72 degrees, now. We are currently at 65 degrees. And Wednesday,the high is just 65 degrees! Crazy
Yesterday it was 93 degrees! What the heck?!

We are still having high humidity, too.

Yes, next week (one week from tomorrow in fact!) will see us to the TWO THIRDS mark to Christmas Day and the start of the FINAL third of our voyage.

The humidity was up a bit yesterday and the trend will continue this week, as Mother Nature reminds us not to get too smug -- there is still plenty of Summer weather left.
Today has commenced at 72 degrees under calm and sunny skies here in the capital city.

I'm going to have a bragging moment - My Gracie was a star at the county fair yesterday! She helped get our friends daughter an "Outstanding" in her modeling project! She was wiped out when she got home! LOL

I'm glad Maggie's apt went well!!! I hope the increased medicine really helps her out! Good luck getting her to take medicine! For Buster I would buy a turkey smoked sausage ring (like healthy request, etc) slice it, then cut the slices in half & make a little slit in it with a knife to put the pill in. I would freeze them & just pop them in the mciro for a few seconds, stick the pill in & he never knew a thing! Continued prayers!

In regards to Maggie taking the pills, I have tried so many different things. I think a big part of the problem is not only how finicky she is, but that she is so small too. She has teeny tiny teeth and only takes very small pieces of food at a time. Not saying all small dogs are like that but she sure is. Even when I try and give her pill pockets, I have to kind of squish them flat, otherwise they're too big for her. She refused to take her medicine this morning, I'm nervous now. It's crazy.
I really appreciate the prayers!
