We've had plenty of heat & humidity here!

We have plenty of heat & humidity today (yesterday too) & we had a really hot week a couple weeks ago - last week was cooler (perfect, actually) It's just been a weird year!! June & 1/2 of July were a wash out...rain, rain, rain!

Tough day. Just returned home from moving our son back to college. House is very quiet. He is settled in and ready for classes to start Wednesday. As I've said before, August is my least favorite month; tired of hot humid weather and kids go back to school/college.
On the bright side, I'm now ready to count down the days until Chistmas (and Ethan being home for a month)!

It has to be tough, but at least he has safely travelled back to school, and now you can anticipate his next return!

Not much going on here today. Just work & then I have to take Gracie to the vet for a new blood pressure reading. Praying that comes back normal - or maybe I should pray for it to be low so they can take her off some of her medicine! (Maybe!) Regardless - I hope it goes well! xx
I got a visit from a lady doing surveys for the census bureau last night. They want us to take a survey. UGH! She is supposed to call at 6:00 tonight. I don't want to talk to her!!! She rang the door bell then started beating on the door before I could even get to the door. What the heck?! They have a whole list of stuff they want us to have ready (how much we pay for electric, etc) I don't have time for that!!!
On a lighter note, I forgot to tell you about my finds at Ben Franklin over the weekend. They have their fall stuff out & they are starting to put out Christmas!

(I loved The Poky Little Puppy when I was little... LOL)

I dislike door-to-door census callers, Jehovah's Witnesses, etc. We're way too busy for that stuff!

And I loved The Poky Little Puppy when I was a kid, and so did my kids. Nice find!

I appreciate the enthusiasm for the 'Ber months and celebrating them with All Things Pumpkin, but can't stand the flavor of pumpkin ever since, as a child, I bit into a pumpkin cookie, believing it was a peanut butter cookie …
So all of you can have all of the pumpkin-flavored "goodies" I won't eat!

I feel the same way MC, I had almost the same experience with a doughnut, I bit into it thinking it was plain, but it was pumpkin. I didn't even eat a doughnut for 2 years after that. I tell people I hate pumpkin, and they look at me like I have 4 heads. So everyone can have my share of pumpkin also.
