Good evening, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone doing well! The humidity has broken, the store is doing better than last year by a bit, the medicine Palmer is on seems to be working and the pepper plants in the garden are finally producing. So other than being very busy, things are well out this way!

It is going to be in the 50s tonight ~ doing my happy dance!!!

Have a most MERRY rest-of-the-week!!!

Love the cooler weather! It needs to keep coming!!!

Goodnight, MMC!!
God bless!

Love the Santa pictures with the old Coke ads!!

Hello everyone. Just thought I'd drop by the Pines to say hello.

Our local Christmas shop opens tomorrow! I can't wait.

Have a great evening!

How exciting Ryan!!! Enjoy!

Good evening,

Another hot one here today in the low to mid 90's. I didn't spend much time out in the heat but when I did I looked like Frosty inside the greenhouse.
I am so ready for some of this:
giphy.gif

I just want some colder weather, so done with heat.
Back to work tomorrow.
I hope you all had a great Wednesday.
Goodnight, everyone.

Right with you, xmas! So over the heat!

Im with you xmas, so sick of the heat, 95 today. Decorating for Fall tomorrow, so maybe that will switch the weather ;)

With you too, DoubleA! Yay for fall decorating! Let us know how it goes!!

Merry Thursday!

My nerves are tingling. Isaac's first day at nursery. I can't envision leaving him with a bunch of strangers. My stomach feels queasy just thinking about it!
I hope that he is brave and settles in and doesn't cry when it's time to leave him! :(

Hope everyone has a great day.

Thinking of you!! Hard day but a good day too-he's going to do great!! What a big step for you both. Hang in there mama!

❤️
You guys will both do great, you just need adjustment time, like you said. It'll be a routine in no time. Hugs & strength!

Happy Friday Eve!

I just received news before bed last night.
I'm in awe, now they're saying "they spoke too soon" and are not finding anything conclusive on the tests. They are reviewing them once again. It scares me that he could be released soon with no diagnosis. He is bound to be back in the hospital for the 5th time in two months. I'm not being negative, just realistic. They are recommending a part time CNA, so at least someone could potentially be at the house and around to give us a heads up if he has an episode.
Thank you for asking.
xx

Prayers as they run tests and figure out what's best. I work with older adults in my job, and I know how hard it is on them and the families in moments like this, but I trust that he'll get good care and that you all's love and support will help him tremendously!

Good morning, dear friends~
Happy Friday Eve!
Wishing you a blessed day!!

Good morning!
Happy Thursday!
Woke up to thunderstorms early this morning, they're supposed to continue on and off for the rest of the day. No big plans here, I have to run to Rite Aid for a couple of things. I also have to stop at the supermarket, I didn't realize I was out of chili powder and I'm making tacos for dinner. Other than that I'll be working on laundry and doing some decorating. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

No big plans for me on my day off either, but cleaning lots! Glad we'll be cleaning together! Maybe a little decorating for me too!

Good Morning, Friends from all parts of the MMC Nation!

Wake up, rub your eyes.......and stare in amazement at the latest figures and what they tell us:
Days to the Season: 64
Days to Christmas Day: 106

And the primary lesson to be learned today is that the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone is now LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY!
That's correct -- a mere 6 days separate us from a twin double-digit count and the fast track back to our much-beloved Christmas Season.

Still a bit too warm and humid, with more moisture added by a brief late evening rain yesterday.
Hopefully, it will be clear for today, as well as for our weekend trip.
We have started the day out here at 75 degrees.

Oh, did I mention a trip?
Well, we are going to see my niece in Charlotte Saturday-Sunday to see how she has settled into her condo.
I will be able to post for Saturday morning, but will not be here Sunday.
As such, a guest-poster volunteer, chosen from the able ranks of our thread followers, will be much needed and appreciated!

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks!

Thanks Crown! Still too hot here, too! Ready for that cool sweater weather. Maybe early next week we'll get a glimpse of it...Enjoy your trip too!

Good Thursday morning or shall i say Friday Eve?!!!

I have been super busy this week so i haven't had chance to get on here to catch up with all my Christmas friends. I've missed you all and i hope everyone is doing well.

I'm so glad Monday was a holiday because that was and still will be the only break i get all week. Tuesday was back to school night for my youngest, last night was bible study and prayer night at church, tonight is ladies missionary/fellowship night, tomorrow I'm taking the girls to the ballpark to see the O's game (they are so excited), Saturday we're going to Washington DC for Celebrate America which is a musical program the branches of our military puts on and Sunday is church with the annual church picnic that afternoon. Phew...I'm exhausted just typing it all.

Everyone have a great day!!!

Definitely a busy week! Glad you stopped in! Hope that you have a great rest of your week!!!

Good morning everyone!

Seasonal marker: saw pumpkins in the store for the first time yesterday!

Happy to say today is my day off! I'm going to try and find time to relax, but I also have a lot of cleaning to catch up on, so that will be happening as well. I work a half day tomorrow, and then we're off the entire weekend...SO WONDERFUL. I can't believe how great this is after a solid month of go-go-go and last weekend being a little touch-and-go with the in-laws........

Hope everyone has a marvelous day!

Hey everyone!

After a very busy year so far, I'm back in the Christmas Spirit.

We moved in our brand new flat at the end of July in a new "village" which belongs to the conurbation of the City Lucerne/Zug. Now we are slowly getting used to the new place. While it is very close to two bigger cities, it is still very green and "out in the Country".

Anyway it is great to be in a place that is so much bigger than the old flat and everything is new and shiny. :-) My parents were able to buy the flat (with the help of a early inheritance) and If god is mercyful they never have to move out of it again. There are Elevators in the building and everything is suitable for possible disability.

Don't know how the climate in your Country was so far this year, but we here had one of the hottest summer ever. It didn't quite top the summer of 2003, but it really was close. The average temp was around 96.8° for weeks. Some part of Switzerland had no rain for two month straight.

I never cared much for candy corn or fruit cake either ...
we should start a support group - haha :bundleup

I don't know what candy corn is, but I really don't like fruit cake. At least if fruit cake is made of tried fruits like raisin.

I was reading the Hagerstown Farmers Almanac last night and there are a few things that I read that I have to share. I saw the snow word for the first time this season, listed for the Rocky Mountains and Northern Plains in the month of October. Also, we have lost about 2 hours of daylight since June 22nd and we will loose another hour, just this month alone.
And last, according to the almanac, it is predicting a White Christmas! Fingers crossed for that one....

What is an almanac? In Switzerland there is a very famous group of old men living in a certain part of our Country that are called "Wetterfrösche", they predict the weather according to how the animals behave or how tree and plants look like. My Translation tool says I should translate this word as following: "tree frog as in "means of predicting the weather". Not sure if this is understandable.

❤️

Oh my, this sounds frustrating. If you don't mind my asking, with what kind of symptomes was your FIL admitted to the hospital the first time? Does he live alone / far way from relatives? I keep your FIL and your family in my mind.

I know how you feel. I had to take a day off of work when both of mine started school. I hope he does ok with it!

Wow, you have had a busy week! Sounds like a lot of wonderful things planned for the remainder of the week and weekend, too!
Have a wonderful time! Hope you have a blessed day.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had another lazy afternoon yesterday. I have to stop doing that! I might get used to it!

The news showed a clip of a weather report on the Island of Wales, specifically in a town called...are you ready for this?...Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch.

That. Is. Amazing. Wiki says it was named that as a publicity stunt back in the 1800's. Oh my!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Yes it is! The local store had pumpkins yesterday, which made me smile too!! Love all the fall and Christmas decor--now if only the temperatures will go down!

Hope you had a good night, snowflake--beautiful picture, as always! Such good taste!

Good morning prancer! Hope you slept well!

Hope you had a good day Made--it's way too hot here too and the cooler temps are coming! Hope they stay!! We miss you too!

Awesome sighting!!
I saw a few pumpkin and gourd stands in the country, when I was driving back home from my folks house on Sunday. Beautiful!!!
Enjoy your down time in the next few days, friend.

Good morning friends! I am looking forward to more Fall like temperatures that are supposed to be here for the weekend. September is moving right along. Have a great day everybody!
Good Morning, frostyman!
Enjoy the cooler temperatures!!
Have a blessed day! :)

Afternoon everyone,

THANK YOU so much for the support today , you have no idea how much it meant and helped! Isaac did great. I stayed with him a few minutes until his teacher distracted him and then I slipped out. Felt bad and unnatural not to say good bye but they thought it best to just slip out instead of interrupting him. I managed not to cry even though I did tear up a little. We both did a lot better than I expected!

Went for a walk to the shops to kill some time. Some of the Halloween stuff is out and I also noticed leaves turning and a few falling.

Picking both boys up shortly :)

Thanks again, you all are the best!

Brad Wales is a couple hours away from me! You won't believe some of the names. The Welsh language and accent never fails to amaze me!
