Today, since Crown is gone, we're all going to add a little bit to the countdown:

DoubleA says that we're so close to the big 3!
Brent says he's seeing things that he can't tell us about yet but REALLY wants to!
Snowflake is excited that her Pack football team plays today!

Lots of milestones happening every day now--and Crown would want me to let you know that we're quickly approaching another one this week!

Days to the Season: 61
Days to Christmas Day: 103

In 11 days, we'll be a mere 50 days away from the season, and even closer, 3 days to the century mark, the beginning of our double digit countdown to Christmas Day!!!

It'll be a week of celebrating for sure. Glad to have helped Crown out today, but glad we ALL get a chance to contribute what we're excited about! Ready? ... Go!

Today is going to be another good day off, and my goodness have I needed this stretch of the week. It's been wonderful to just relax and not have responsibilities outside of the home for a few days to catch my breath. Work starts again tomorrow, but I get Friday off for a conference! Still, we won't talk about that yet...

My football team plays their first game today, and I'm excited to watch football again!!!! A perfect way to spend the Sunday afternoon for sure.

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

It was a wet, warm, humid day yesterday, but it clear and actually a little chilly this morning! And the coffee pot just beeped at me. Coffee time!

We took Elizabeth to dance yesterday morning. After that, I did some work on my business, then I went to Jim's shop and worked on the Camaro's brakes, sweating all afternoon.

I think I'm going to take my cup out on the front porch.

We plan to get a few things done around the house, open up the windows and let the fresh air in again, watch the Packer-Bears game...(Go Pack, Go!!!)

Yes!
The first, original Morris was the best. Loved his commercials!

Well actually he was already dead a very long time when we discovered . We hadn't realised there were a few of them at the time. I wonder now if the one I'm thinking of was even the original. Trying to remember he was in a couple of films right? I seem to remember movies but can't remember what.

I know he was in Shamus with Burt Reynolds back in the early 70's (73?) What I love about it was that Morris was a shelter rescue back in '68 when he started his famed finicky career. He died in '78 when my cat Shamus died. All the cats that took on his role in 9Lives also came from animal shelters.

We saved this big boy from terrible 2 toddler who tried to flush him down the toilet. O'Malley was a wee thing when we brought him home 10 years ago (last April) and look at him now.

It's coming!

I saw it today. Yep. I saw it today with my own eyes. I'd love to share, but I think it will have to wait about 10-12 days. Why that long? It depends on when Crown determines that Christmas is beginning to "Blossom."

What did I see? Photographic evidence will have to wait. I must say, it was the start of something magical. The Seasonal section of Walmart appears to be finally switching over to Halloween. Even so, something exciting almost always manages to sneak its way on to the shelves along with the Halloween merchandise...

There wasn't much, yet it was still enough to make me stand in amazement. Our time is getting closer. It's great to see that stores are beginning to roll out their Christmas stuff. After all, the Season is only a mere two months (from tomorrow) away!

Anyway, I can't wait to share my photos with everyone! Christmas is, indeed, beginning to Blossom. Hopefully the sights and sounds of the Most Wonderful Time of the Year are around somewhere in your area, too!

I had a similar experience at Michaels yesterday, but I didn't snap any photos. Our local Walmart is switching over as well and usually this time of year they add some outdoor decorations to the back end passed the Fall and Halloween stuff. Dollarama and the Dollar Tree also have some items out on display.
I love going into the Hallmark store to scan the ornaments and try and think about which one I'll wind up getting this year.

When I was doing some shopping yesterday, I noticed an interesting item hanging from the review mirror of the car next to mine at the plaza. It was a crochet ornament hanger with a snowglobe inside with a miniature Mr. and Mrs. Frosty kissing inside. I wanted to shake the car to make the snowflakes fall, but figured I might set off an alarm so I left it alone and just admired it instead and said to myself, "Oh, wait until I tell my merry friends what made me think of them today."

When I was at Michaels I saw quite a few Autumn and Halloween decorations and I really want to pick something up for my parents. I never made my way to the Christmas wreaths, but I have that to look forward to on my next visit.

It's a bit chilly this morning, but comfortable. My husband snuck the heat on last night - it's too early for that, but I'll give him a day of robe relief before I turn it off. He's always cold, I'm always hot.
