Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good afternoon,

I have been busy today, driving out to Springfield and back, laundry, making chili for tonight's dinner, cleaning up the house. I also made a stop at Goodwill, almost bought a box of ornaments, but restrained myself since we already have a ton. Nothing else really caught my eye today.

The Boston Bruins training camp opens tomorrow, which means 22 more days until opening night. Summer has been so long, I can't wait until the puck drops.
I have a few more things to do.

I'll be back tonight.

And, possible or not, we again find ourselves at mid week...........AND at yet another Milestone on our journey to Christmas Season 2015!

Days to the Season: 58
Days to Christmas Day: 100

And yes, you read that right -- the 100-day Christmas Day Window has been flung open wide and the view of our pending double double-digit count beckons!

(The year is getting away from us, my friends.)


Absolutely fantastic, taste-of-early-fall weather continues here with moderate temps and greatly reduced humidity readings.
This crisp morning here in central NC has begun at 59 degrees under a cloudless sky.


Have a Wonderful Wednesday, a Merry Milestone Day and a Perfect 'Pines visit this evening!
Carl is aware this is a Milestone Day and no doubt plans to recognize that fact accordingly. Just how remains a mystery but it is sure to be both entertaining and.......well.......memorable.

Oooooooh lord, snowflake-it was WILD. BUT I'm finding I'm really strong and even on the tough days still really enjoy my work, so it was a GREAT day in that regard!! Really can't complain. How was yours??

Hey everyone

Busy day today, therefore this is just a quick post. Weather has cooled down a bit and I spent the weekend reading Tammy Falkner's "The Reed Brothers Series".



Your cat looks like the big brother to my Balou. Seriously I just took a double take and was wondering how you got a picture of my cat. Mine is quite the rogue though.

My big boy is a feral cat that we've come pretty close to turning domestic. He has an unpredictable wild side and is skiddish around new people, noises, etc. We came close to giving him away once when my husband developed allergies, but he was already four years old by then and our neighbour told my husband the new family would "put him down" or kick him out the door if he was agressive or destroyed their speaker wires and such. Thanks to her little chat, he's still here. I just sweep up his fur with a straw broom before I vacuum so the dander isn't as much of an issue. He's one of the favourites at the VET because he's so unique and orange. He listens to my husband like he's a dog, but he knows I'm a softy so he takes advantage of me at times. He loves Christmas nearly as much as I do, but he's no help when it comes to wrapping gifts. HaHa.

Look at this sweet pooch available from our county Animal Protecion League. I want him. He has Gracie's eyes! He's a Wheaten/Poodle mix, 2 years old! Gracie's groomer is fostering him right now. My hubby says "NO!" LOL
