Good evening,

Very traumatic day, a woman collapsed at work today while she was shopping, I walked out of the back and saw her laying on the floor. I called the emergency code , the assistant manager came over and started performing cpr immediately. 911 was called, the man performing cpr revived her twice, and the emt's revived her once. It was the worst and scariest thing I have ever seen. The worst part was other shoppers were yelling and swearing at the employees for closing off that area, they "needed" stuff in that area for their shopping lists. It was sickening what these people were saying while a woman lay there possibly dying. Good news is the last we heard the woman was alert at the hospital.
Other employees went home early, as lots of nerves were frayed, I am still quite shaken.

Just need to relax and calm down.

Goodnight, everyone.

That must've have been so scary, friend.
Thank God she is alert.
Prayers for her and all involved.
(((hugs)))

Smh @ the shoppers, what is wrong with people.

Hope you can sleep well, and clear your mind tomorrow. So glad you have the day off.

Goodnight, and God bless.

"Happy" Friday my MMC Friends! I don't even know where to begin today! We had so much fun going out with the girls last night. We ate at a Mexican restaurant that is not as good as our favorite place, but it has outdoor seating. Food was ok - atmosphere, GREAT! We stayed out too late - our hubby's met up with us. Great night! This morning I woke up tired thinking "TGIF!" Then I got the dreaded text - my friend from the lake passed away this morning. She has been battling cancer (cancer sucks!) for a long time & was doing well with it until a couple weeks ago, she got results that it had spread into her bones. They put her on new meds & then she went downhill so fast & now it's over. :( And then to top it off, today is my brother Mike - who passed away 3 1/2 year ago - birthday! Can I just go back to bed & start over??
I never want to be a downer on this Merry site, so please forgive me!! I'm just sad today!

th

That's so sad. I lost my first adult friend to cancer 7 years ago and I still miss her dearly and hear her in my mind now and then. I also bring her up in conversation with friends who knew her so we can keep her memory alive in our heats and her name on her lips. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Think those mascots are terrifying, you should read the ingredients for fast food. :p
Why does it taste so good sometimes?

The Buger King Mascot has always spooked me. A costume-style mascot is cool, the big papermacher head on the BKM FREAKS ME OUT!

New Christmas Tree Alert!!! We finally did it!!! We headed out to the large year round Christmas store today and got a good quality 7.5 ft. pre-lit Christmas tree. We have been talking about replacing our now 20 year old tree for several years. We have steered away from pre-lit trees in the past due to the fact when they go out you are stuck with burned out strands of lights on your tree. The trees they sell are under warranty. They have an on site shop that will repair them if there are any problems. It's in layaway with a requirement to pay 1/2 of the cost of tree to hold. They said we have until November 1st to pick it up but we plan to go next weekend and pay it off.

As far as the rest of the weekend, it has been nice! Thursday we headed up to Oklahoma with my parents to Winstar hotel and casino and stayed the night. We got home by noon on Friday and went to a lot of stores looking at Christmas, Autumn and Halloween decor. This morning we went to the Arboretum for their opening day of the Pumpkin Village before getting picking out our new Christmas tree.

75,000 pumpkins this year at the Arboretum! There are more pictures in the Autumn thread.

I see you snapped the horses for me. I have a pre-lit tree that needs replacing. My parents have a corner tree, but you can't tell that it doesn't go all away around. Once it's adorned with decorations, it's beautiful.

Goodnight, everyone.

I've been in tha mall when they've closed the doors for a "Code ADAM" and never complained, instead I started searching the toy section for a child that could have simply wondered off from a parent. Some people are so uncaring. A member collapsed in the fitness centre and the staff asked the people in the gym to respect the member and clear the area as another person was bringing in the De-fib unit and nobody complained.
Glad she's doing well.

Decided I'm going to The PEANUTS movie when it gets to town.

I was out of town to deliver a workshop yesterday and it went great. I was a bit brain tired when I got home so I just relaxed with my husband and the cat and then was watching some TV when my husband woke me and I went to bed at 8 p.m. That's a tad early - slept until 4:30. BIG SLEEP.

Gonna give my mom a shout in a few hours and see if she wants to do something tomorrow since I have the day off. This afternoon I was hoping to do a wee bit of shopping.

The cooler weather has arrived, but the afternoons have still been a bit warm and I like it this way. Didn't have to turn the fans on last night.

Having corn on the cob (finally) with real butter (forget margarine when it comes to corn) and hamburger patties with diced peppers for dinner.

Merry Sunday.

I will be going into work soon. It will be a challenge today as I am not feeling all that great but I'll be ok though.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.
Merry Sunday, Sam~
Thoughts & prayers for you.
Hope the day goes quickly.

Hope you feel better soon Festive. Nothing worse than working when you are feeling ill.

Morning all and a Merry Sunday to one and all. It's been a bust week for me at work combined with trying to get everything done in the house for baby arrival. I've a few things to sort out and then hopefully my wife and I can get a coffee out somewhere to relax for an hour. Exciting times ahead but I'm knackered already lol.
