Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

I failed to rouse the family in time for church, so I"m out on the deck with Lulu. She's protecting me from all the predatory squirrels in the yard.

We're going to mama's for lunch, then back on the tractor at Jacob's hunting plot.

I hope y'all have a great day!:D
Good morning, Brad!
Lulu is so sweet!
Have a blessed day with your family!!

That is terrible how people reacted!!!

Several years ago I gave blood then went to the grocery store and passed out on one of the aisle. Thankfully Wayne was with me. I had a time getting up and was in and out. They did block off the aisle but I had concerned shoppers asking about me, no one was rude. I was actually real embarrassed and as I would come to I told them to let people shop and how I felt bad for the aisle being blocked. I was more worried about the shoppers than myself but no one was rude. They did call the paramedics but I ended being okay and went home. I had passed out on aisle 5 and all I could see is boxes of cereal when I was alert. Now Wayne and I joke about "clean up on aisle 5" and sometimes laugh just seeing the cereal aisle. I was way more embarrassed than anything else. I was fine, just passed out from giving blood!

I feel terrible what that lady went through and people showing no compassion. How sad! Glad to hear she is okay now! Thank God they had you and your other employees to save her!
How scary that must've been for you, and Wayne. I'm so glad that people showed compassion for you.
It makes me sad that people can be so heartless.

LuLu and my little Maris would be the best of friends!!! She does exactly the same with all those "vicious" squirrels! Ha ha! Thank goodness she never catches them - I love the squirrels! It sure is funny how Maris runs around the yard looking for them!

Have a great day!!!

Thank you! I was scared! I really wasn't sure if it was from the blood I donated or something more serious. When I got home I kept feeling strange and had uncontrollable shakes the rest of the evening. Wayne had to call the blood donor place and they said, "She's done for the day and needs to stay in bed". I just wanted to make sure this was normal. They think I didn't prepare properly by not eating enough before giving blood but not really sure if it was that or not.

Enjoy your coffee and relaxing morning!
Hope that you & your husband have fun today!
I need to pick up some more mums, mine aren't doing so well, with the hot weather we had. Darn beetles have found them, as well.
Hope you & your family have a wonderful day!!
xx
I saw some mums yesterday and thought of you since I know you love decorating with them. I have never bought them before and thought about getting some this year. Not sure yet but will post if I do!

Sounds good!
They are so beautiful!!

I sure did get a lot of sleep last night - 11 hours!!! Don't recall the last time that has happened. We have been very busy so I needed it. Would like to spend more time on here but gotta run. I hope everyone has a Merry Day!!!
Glad you slept well!
Have a fantastic day! :)

The squirrels in our backyard chatter so loud that we can hear them when we have the windows open! How about yours?

When I was 10 years old, we were returning by ferryboat from the Toronto Island on summer visit with relatives. While we were in line my mom had offered some Kleenex to a student with a bloody nose. On the way back to the mainland, my mom fainted and they moved her to the bow of the ship for air. A crowd was gathering at the second deck stairs and I heard a child ask, "what happened?" and the teacher (it was a school group or day camp) said, "Some lady fell off the upper deck." I turned around and scowled at him and shouted, "She's not some lady, she's my mom and she gave you tissues, stupid man." That's when I came out of my shyness. Thankfully, my dad was beside my mother and my brothers and I were peering with concern through the closed gate worried sick about her. She never heard about my reaction until she read my story the following September about my "Summer Vacation". We talked about it a few years ago. I was not one to disrespect adults, but he really angered me because he didn't recognize her as the kind person who had helped one of his students. AND she didn't fall off the deck. Turns out she had heat stroke.

The MUMS around here didn't look full and fluffy like last year. I worked in a flower shop for a little extra money the year before College and I remember tending to floral plants and especially liked mums, azaleas and poisettias.

Good evening,

Very traumatic day, a woman collapsed at work today while she was shopping, I walked out of the back and saw her laying on the floor. I called the emergency code , the assistant manager came over and started performing cpr immediately. 911 was called, the man performing cpr revived her twice, and the emt's revived her once. It was the worst and scariest thing I have ever seen. The worst part was other shoppers were yelling and swearing at the employees for closing off that area, they "needed" stuff in that area for their shopping lists. It was sickening what these people were saying while a woman lay there possibly dying. Good news is the last we heard the woman was alert at the hospital.
Other employees went home early, as lots of nerves were frayed, I am still quite shaken.

Just need to relax and calm down.

Goodnight, everyone.
Xmas, about 20 years ago I had a similar experience happen.
A woman pushing her shopping cart next to me and the supermarket, had a full-blown seizure. I grabbed her purse, jumped in the ambulance with her . When we got the hospital her family arrived and asked who the heck I was? LOL. I was just a fellow shopper in the market that didn't want her to be alone, she was having a heart attack.
So I have been through that. I hope that you're having a much better day today. Hugs

Good Afternoon Everyone!

Bless your heart, that was very kind of you, MsRose!! :)

Good Morning, Everyone!

Have you seen it yet? Signs of our favourite time of the year are slowly popping up everywhere! I hope you've been keeping a close watch. Experiencing such a sight brings a feeling like no other... and it happens every year! Soon, we won't have to look far to see Christmas everywhere!

Thankfully, we have the countdown to tell us just how long we have to wait. Let's take a look and see where we're at today!:
Days to the Season: 54
Days to Christmas Day: 96

If that does not sound close enough for you, we are now UNDER a week away from the 3/4 Milestone Marker to Christmas Day. FIVE days away, to be exactly. It is yet another reason to circle a Friday on your calendars!

It was a chilly evening last night. The winds howled slightly as I walked home from a friend's house. It seemed as if the temperature dropped 20c (or about 36f) from the daytime high. Brr!

Not much has changed for this morning. It is currently 11c/52f. Highs in Canada's Capital are to only reach 18c/64f. It may be a late beginning this year, but Autumn, will indeed be here on Wednesday!

Let's all hope that Crown has a safe trip to check on his cottage. Hopefully the weather is a little warmer on the coast then all the way up here in Ottawa!

Well, folks, I must go and watch Kim's nephews football game for the third week in a row. It's fun to see the little guys play! And, right, now, they are 4-0! Hopefully have as much fun today as they did last week. What a game!

With that, I hope you all enjoy yourselves today. Hopefully Christmas is inching closer to you by the second! Have a Super Sunday, everyone!!
Thank you so much for the count down Brent ! Happy Sunday to you
