Hey I just saw Home Alone is celebrating 25years!! I almost fell out of my chair!!
25 years???????? Is that right?? How on earth can it be 25 years!!!!!!!!!

Good evening,

Very traumatic day, a woman collapsed at work today while she was shopping, I walked out of the back and saw her laying on the floor. I called the emergency code , the assistant manager came over and started performing cpr immediately. 911 was called, the man performing cpr revived her twice, and the emt's revived her once. It was the worst and scariest thing I have ever seen. The worst part was other shoppers were yelling and swearing at the employees for closing off that area, they "needed" stuff in that area for their shopping lists. It was sickening what these people were saying while a woman lay there possibly dying. Good news is the last we heard the woman was alert at the hospital.
Other employees went home early, as lots of nerves were frayed, I am still quite shaken.

Just need to relax and calm down.

Thank goodness the woman is ok! That is a very unpleasant experience, I'm sure!
A few years ago a colleague from a different department collapsed and very sadly passed away before the paramedics got to her. She was only in her late thirties. I can't go past that spot now without thinking about her every time.

Hope you are feeling a bit better about it all and hope the woman is doing ok.

Merry Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was good..pretty low key. Yesterday my youngest daughter, Mia (she is 9) came with me grocery shopping and she picked out a little pumpkin. When we got home she asked if she could carve it so she did on her own with supervision of course. .lol So we lit is and put it on our front step. A little early but I knew you all would appreciate it!

Sorry it is to the side...but she made little fangs!! She loves anything spooky!

Sorry to say, not much relaxation this weekend. Worked 6.5 hours Saturday and 9.5 hours yesterday, and spent the remaining few hours trying to get all my household stuff done that I usually do on the weekend. Today's my 8th consecutive day at the office without a day off. (It's getting to be like "Groundhog Day"---same routine every day!) About a month ago I scheduled this coming Friday as a day off---I hope I can keep it! We're so busy that people are having to postpone their vacations. I feel terrible for them.

So sorry to hear that!! I hope things slow down & you get your Friday/Monday off! That's a lot of working & no play! Booo! Keeping you in my thoughts!

Another crazy busy morning getting the family up and out the door. I have a couple of phone calls to make, a few errands to run and lots of chores to work on. I'll pop back in when I can. I hope everyone had a nice weekend and has a great week ahead!

Good morning MMC! Happy Monday!! I'm finally caught up! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!!
We had a pretty festive weekend. There weren't many people at the lake & Jim went loafing with his dad on Saturday so my friend & I took off on a road trip to a home décor place way out in the country. I had only been there once before at Christmas so I wanted to see it with fall things. It was fantastic! I'll have to post some pics in a fall thread! On the way back to the lake we stopped for lunch & then stopped at a farmers market to pick up pumpkins & mums. Such a fun & festive day. Then we watched the Buckeyes with friends. Yesterday I wanted to make soup over the fire but we ended up having my hubby's family over to our house to celebrate my FIL's birthday (was Friday). We got some unbaked pizza's & made 1 on the grill & the other 2 in the oven. They were delicious! My SIL made cinnamon rolls & my MIL made a carrot cake & Jim & I made homemade ice cream... geez, what a feast!! We sat out on our patio. It was a nice day! I watched the Hallmark movie last night "Lead With Your Heart" - I thought it was good! A good way to end the weekend. Boooo!!

The VA is still working on getting him a part-time CNA. Until then, and probably even still, my sister-in-law is there daily to help him out, and check-in on her Dad.
This week, with the big rummage sale starting on Wednesday, and going through the weekend, Dorothy's sisters are there. So there's a house full!
