Merry Thursday!
Not sure where this week has gone! I want to get some cleaning done today. The house is tidy but I want to do some deep cleaning. I also have some work to get done. Hopefully I can get it all done in between the school runs.

I grabbed Dec. 19th and the week up to Christmas off for vacation this year which works perfect - allowing me to have a little Christmas with the grandkids the weekend before I celebrate with my parents and their merry visitors. Plus, I can participate in the World's Biggest on-line Christmas Party here at MMC - I'm looking forward to all of the merriment!

If I can schedule my remaining vacation days to my liking, I should be able to have off a couple days before Christmas. I usually hoard a few vacation days so that between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I have no five-day weeks ...

Good Morning, MMC! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...and it's my DAY OFF. I took it because I just really needed time off. I'm working too much and needed a break, and since I have the time, I took it!

Plan for today is to find some good Christmas music, movies, and some podcasts to listen to while I clean and organize. And find a way to relax as well! No need to fill up a whole day with busy when I could take an hour or two out for tea and rest.

Good for you!! I totally get needing a day off. Enjoy it, it's well earned and well deserved!

I get my day off tomorrow. My plan is to do some DJ work for Kringle Radio, if no one in the neighborhood is mowing their lawn or blowing leaves. And relax and get some early Christmas vibe on!

I got a surprise yesterday that made my day. My supervisor quietly gave me two days off in October that won't be charged as vacation days. They're compensation for the heavy workload and long hours in the past few weeks. I was so elated, I couldn't think straight for about ten minutes---I was so giddy thinking about what I could do with some time off!

Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday!
I'm heading out in a little bit, I'm going to take my youngest to the Apple store to pick something up. Back home afterward to work on some chores around the house. Not too much else going on. It's going to be sunny and warm today with a high of around 80 degrees. No cool weather yet but I'm already craving hearty comfort foods, tonight I'm making chicken pot pie. Love those warm and cozy Fall dishes!

I'm beginning to crave cinnamon and spice for fall. I wanted to buy cinnamon sugar while I was at the supermarket yesterday, and there was none! So I bought a big shaker and I'll just make my own.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had my procedure yesterday. I'm glad that's "behind" me! I got a great report, and was told to come back in 10 years. Nice! Nancy and I ate breakfast at Cracker Barrel afterwards, and the browsing area is FULL of Fall and Christmas stuff. I loved it!

It's rainy and cool here today. I'll live with the rainy, as long as we get the cool. It's still humid, but hopefully that'll clear up in the next few weeks.

Wow! That was very generous of your supervisor! My current boss does the same sort of thing, but my last one watched time-off like a hawk, and doled it out like Scrooge.

I was JUST looking at your bruschetta chicken recipe! I'm thinking about making it at the lake for tomorrow night. Have you ever heated up the tomato mixture on top of the chicken, like you do with bruschetta? Just curious! I may have to add a little Feta cheese too. I'm a big fan of Feta in bruschetta!

Snowflake, I forgot to tell you I got another witch figurine at JoAnns. It was the last one. The Halloween decor is 50% off, there will be all Christmas in its place before we know it!

Wow!! Awesome! My friend was just telling me on Tuesday that she was in Dollar General & "they have CHRISTMAS things out already...it's not even OCTOBER!!!" I said "I know! I love it!"

The Big E and perfect weather have really taken a huge chunk of business from us. It was sooooo sloooow today. It is the calm before the turkey storm, which begins in 2 weeks, I will have my bottle of Aleve ready.
I spoke to my direct supervisor today, and she said she is going to approve the week after Christmas for my vacation, I am totally stoked!!!
I am fading fast at this point, so i will wish you all a goodnight.

Awesome your vacation was approved for after Christmas! I just put my name on the calendar yesterday to be off that week too!
Whenever you start talking about your busy season starting soon, it makes the holidays feel SO close!!! Sorry it's a rough time on you though!
