Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good evening MMC! Sitting on the couch with my wonderful husband relaxing and enjoying a nice cup of tea--he has a Pumpkin Spice Latte! Watching QVC Christmas and getting ready to watch some football! My UVA team plays tonight.

Happy Milestone Day! What a milestone it's been too! Hope you're having a GREAT night!!

Happy Friday.... The start of a 5 day break from working. I took a leave of absence, no pay, to move my grandfather, get him settled-in and also organized and make him feel at home, because this is his home now.... I did not want to burn thru my vacation time...

I unpacked 20 boxes of his stuff and we threw 12 trash bags of things he will no longer need away, like cooking, baking and oven pans, corning ware, cooking utensils, Tupperware from 1970, 500 plastic bowls, containers , etc.... Tomorrow it will be recycled and also some taken to the county landfill.
Tomorrow, more packing and transporting and goodwill trips....
Tonight, a good long soak in a hot tub (gotta have some Bath and Body works bubbles), get a bowl of ice cream and then off to bed!

The long hot soaking was fantastic! Love to do that when the weather starts to get cooler! I put a couple of different Bath and Body works in there, turned on the jets and was lost in a sea of bubbles....

The dairy that made vanilla eggnog, my favorite, stopped making it last year. So I bought a stick blender and make my own, one fresh serving at a time! Funny, I was looking for it at the supermarket this week. I forgot they stopped making it. But that just means I don't have to wait. I can have eggnog whenever I decide the time is right! Maybe today!

The rumor going around is that the price of eggnog is going to be $6 for a half gallon for the real stuff because of the egg shortage due to the bird flu. I couldn't believe it when the dairy employee told me that today. I don't know how true it is but he is usually pretty reliable.

Happy Friday Friends and Milestone Day!! Can you believe 3 months from today is Christmas!! Wow! Today is my 16 year anniversary with my hubby! We are actually going to go out to dinner next Fri night as my daughter has a soccer game tonight and my FIL's bday is today as well, he turns 70 so we are taking him out to dinner tomorrow night. I fell asleep while catching up on the posts. I am totally out of it tonight. I believe I have discovered the worst thing to dream about, last night I dreamed about my alarm clock going off all night long, talk about a long night.

One more day of work then I have Sunday off and we head to the Big E.

I will retire for the night.
