Christmas Countdown - 2015

I remember when I visited Ireland many merry moons ago, it was July and it was a bit breezy and it seemed to drizzle rain the whole time. I'll try not to complain too much about the weather here. Glad you were able to enjoy some nice weather for a change.

[Christmas-A-Holic]

Hi Everyone ... I so miss coming here ... We have been extremely busy packing as we have 11 days until we move and our daughter's birthday is later this week. I will be so glad once we move in and get things unpacked and settled then I can start getting ready for the holidays This beautiful fall weather has me chomping at the bit to decorate for fall, burn my fall scented tarts and do some major baking but almost everything is packed up. For now I just have to settle for apple cider and pumpkin flavored coffee.

Last week we lost a neighbor at the other end of our street. We really didn't know each other with the exception of Christmas. She went all out for Christmas .. decorating big at that end of the street. Well her service was over the weekend and her family paid her a nice tribute this weekend too. They decorated her house for Christmas one last time (from Friday night to Sunday night). We walked the kids down there Saturday night to look at the lights, blow ups and blow-molds that they had out and on. It was extremely nice and humble.

Good evening everyone. What a busy day. Just winding down. My eyes are heavy already, didn't sleep well last night. Maggie's cough has been very bad so I was up with her. Hoping tonight is better, we'll see. The cough suppressant doesn't seem to be helping so I made an appointment with a holistic veterinarian. Maybe they will have a different approach that will help. Thursday was the soonest I could get her in, I'm looking forward the appointment. I'm going to sign off a little bit early. Hope everyone had a great day. Enjoy the rest of the evening. You're a good guy, moving your grandfather in. That's a display of character above and beyond the norm these days!

Thanks Brad... No serious man thank you...I needed to hear that after just being cussed out by one of my brothers for moving my grandfather with telling him the exact day. The exact day... I told him last year 4 x's, this year 3x's and my grandfather just told his wife last week that he was moving this week or next... I was trying to avoid the drama with all these different family members being there, someone saying I want this or I deserve that, etc... I didn't want it to be more harder than it was for him to leave a house that he started to build himself in 1939. I hired a moving company and in three hours, it was done. His house was packed up. I wanted it done in peace...and that's what I did. And what happened, just what I thought would happen someone would be a drama queen.....

So from the bottom of my heart, thanks man....I needed that~

Morning everyone. I've been MIA for the last year or so (sorry). Used to be around but rarely. Hope to be back full-time now that my life is more settled. Wow can anyone else believe that we hit OCTOBER this coming week? I am so excited for the holiday season coming.

Thanks Brad... No serious man thank you...I needed to hear that after just being cussed out by one of my brothers for moving my grandfather with telling him the exact day. The exact day... I told him last year 4 x's, this year 3x's and my grandfather just told his wife last week that he was moving this week or next... I was trying to avoid the drama with all these different family members being there, someone saying I want this or I deserve that, etc... I didn't want it to be more harder than it was for him to leave a house that he started to build himself in 1939. I hired a moving company and in three hours, it was done. His house was packed up. Well, very successful day overall. I have successfully moved my grandfather in to our home and he is now snug and asleep in his bed. We spent all day, I mean all day doing the un-packing, moving furniture around till we found the right spot, hooking things up, trying to find the "what did I do with that" stuff and Lisa started washing all his clothes, bed clothes (blankets, pillows, sheets) and we washed, cleaned every piece of furniture. Tomorrow, another trip to the dump, more un-packing, hooking up his telephone, cable and all other kinds of things....
Well, goodnight all, I'm exhausted 2x's over.... Good night~

Well for a Monday it wasn't so bad. I definitely notice how tired I feel compared to the rest of the week. I think having those 2 days off on the weekend makes us all a little lazy (even if we aren't lazy during the weekend). It throws me off a little so I get home and I'm tired on Mondays yet I usually feel each day through the week I gain more energy...so here's hoping to Tuesday doing that a little more than Monday.

So sorry to hear about the situation with your brother. It is the last thing you need. (((hugs))) Your grandfather is so lucky to have you and your family there for him.

Hope they can find a solution to help Maggie. So sorry to hear the cough is still a problem. Prayers that things imrpove.
