Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!!!!!!! It's a chilly morning - supposed to be cloudy all day, 18 mph wind & a high of 65º, although we haven't hit our predicted high all week! I guess we'll see!

The good news is the groomer didn't have to cut much off of Gracie yesterday, the bad news is she wants me to start bringing her in every 2 weeks if we want to keep her longer She will do a bath & work on clumps, then in 2 weeks another bath & clumps & at 6 weeks a groom if needed, otherwise another bath & a groom at 8 weeks. The good news is she charges less for the grooming b/c she's so easy since she's been groomed all along & the cost ends up being about the same. Just a lot of running. This is what she does for her Wheatie that she keeps longer. She'll be going to the beauty parlor 3 x to my one. LOL I will try this schedule for the winter so we can keep her longer, but in the summer she will get a short cut again! Here's her "after" shot....

We decided we're going to file the small claims complaint against the animal hospital and the doctor that misdiagnosed Molly. Not sure if we'll make it to the court office today since my husband already plans on leaving work this afternoon to go to the vet with me. If we can't do it today, we'll go tomorrow morning and start the process. I don't know if we stand a chance of winning, it's going to be hard to prove. I have no doubt that this doctor will lie under oath. So it's basically going to be our word against his. But we have nothing to lose at this point. And our word is just as good as his, so I'll let the judge decide.

Is there any way you could locate others who have had trouble with this vet? A state veterinarians board of some sort? Or maybe the local Better Business Bureau might have other complaints against him? It could strengthen your case if it could be shown that he has had prior complaints about his practice.

I really want to see you win this.

AMD - so glad you decided to change groomers! You are right, being sedated when not necessary isn't a good thing!!

Can't believe it's October, I'm so excited! There's another Keepsake Ornament debut this weekend, anyone plan on going? I can't wait to go!
Maggie's appointment with the holistic veterinarian is today, I'm praying that he can help her. We'll see what happens.

HAPPY OCTOBER!!!!!!!! Wow. Can't believe it's here. The most wonderful 3 months of the year begin today! Nonstop holiday fun! WONDERFUL. I can't contain my excitement!!

The Peanuts forever stamps come out here in the US today! I'm going to stop by the post office and pick up a few! Can't wait!!! They celebrate the 50th Anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas!

Off to work I go. Rain rain here again. We've seen the sun a total of a few hours this week, and all eyes are to the skies as this hurricane decides whether it's going to bear down on our neck of the woods or move out to sea...

Good Thursday morning everyone. But even more importantly good OCTOBER morning. We are in to the final and by far best quarter of the year. I know the season doesn't start until November 13th but I am a big Halloween fan so I love October. Plus it really feels like we're in Autumn now. Currently in NY we have 51 degrees and cloudy skies.
Today I will have a busy day at work (which is good). I like Thursdays because I feel like you can start to think about the weekend a bit then. I used to think about it on Wednesdays but that just seems too far from the weekend. It hasn't been a bad week and I'm hoping today continues that trend. Hoping to enjoy this first day of October and start watching some kind of Halloween shows after work. I think SCI Fi has an all month celebration for it.
Hope everyone has a great Thursday, first day of October...the time we wait for all year is pretty much upon us. Check in with you guys during the day. Glad to be back here full-time. Best website by far on the internet.

Days to the Season: 43
Days to Christmas Day: 85

Now UNDER a week remains until we enter the HOME STRETCH to Christmas Season 2015.
Yes, incredible though it may be to believe, we will be NINETY PERCENT of the way through our journey as of October 7.
And then -- won't the remaining days seem to pass quickly!

Well, we had a break in the rain yesterday, although it was quite damp and often overcast. Rain will resume today and last until early next week, and that's if the hurricane doesn't come ashore. If it does, all bets are off!
We are at 65 degrees here at the moment and Mother Nature looks poised to unleash more wetness at any time.
