TGIF, my Christmas friends!

It's much cooler this morning than it has been. I don't even mind the overcast skies! We're not supposed to get any bad weather from the storm, but it is supposed to rain all weekend. At least that will help the seeds I planted at the hunting plot!

Jacob's band has two gigs scheduled for this weekend, but they were both outdoors, so I'm thinking they will be cancelled. Too bad. I guess that means he'll be rocking the house from his bedroom all weekend.

Here you go, Snowflake (and for the rest of you looking!) I had no pattern so I just had to wing it and hope to cut the burlap fabric right. That is why they don't have that perfect look but then again they are suppose to have that folksy non-perfect look! I temporarily set up my table top tree to display them and to air dry the hot glue that I put them together with. I hate sewing so I am glad the hot glue held it together - very well!

Hello all. This week has been busy! My daughter has been sick since Monday evening and her fever got pretty high. But she's better now and at school for the first time in a few days.
Also, I was offered a new position yesterday within the agency I work for and I accepted. It's a good step up but it's also in an area I want to work in, doing a lot of community work. I'm excited!
I hope you all are doing well and that you have a great weekend.

By the way, if anyone has any craft projects involving burlap, I highly recommend finding a feed store. You can get very large burlap bags for a good price. Of course check to see if your local feed store carries them first before heading to one. Craft stores charge quite a bit more for burlap!

When our band first started playing back in the 80's, we told our drummer he needed a cow bell for some of the songs...and he bought one at the feed store instead of the music store! It was much cheaper there, too. LOL

Good morning MMC! Happy, Happy Friday!!! YAY! Even though it's a chilly one!! We are starting off the day at 47º! I wore jeans to work today - 1st time since probably April! Booo!!
We had a good time at Moms last night, despite the ending of the movie. Pizza was delish! My niece brought our new great nephew to snuggle with. What a cutie!
My hubby took the day off work today to shell corn, so he was going to get some things done at home this morning! (Awesome!) That's about it from me!

Good Friday morning everyone! Yes FRIDAY. Who doesn't love Friday (well I guess those who work on the weekend might not). I'm looking forward to this first weekend of October. It should be a good one. I'm going to get Wendy's for dinner. Yes not quite a steak fancy dinner but I'm a simple kind of guy. I always say I'd rather have 2 slices of pizza any day over some expensive fancy restaurant meal. I guess that's why I'm single lol. It is currently 50 degrees with some light rain here in the suburbs of NY.
I hope you all have a great Friday. The anticipation on Friday is kind of like the anticipation those last few days before Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. It's exciting. Although, I do like my job and feel fortunate for what I have. It's still always the most fun on the weekend.

You eat like I do. Everyone was away from the house yesterday till 9pm. I ran to Subway, bought a cold cut sandwich, and loved every bite!

Thanks! First time I ever made these. You know what I used for the Snowman's "carrot" nose? I took an orange artificial fall leaf and cut a piece from it. Lol!

Good morning everyone, Happy Friday!
We're expecting lots of rain today, heavy at times with gusty winds. Cooler temperatures as well, we will only be in the 50's today.
Typical day of errands and chores. I need to work on a menu plan and grocery list as well, think I'll look up some new recipes. I'm so upset that my butcher never re-opened after they had the fire. I pass by every once in a while and it doesn't even look like they started any work. Not sure what's going on, maybe it takes a long time to get money from the insurance company. I was really hoping he would be open before the holidays, I've been getting fresh turkeys from him for over twenty years. Anyway, that's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Friday already and also into October, wow...soon we are going to be into the start of the Christmas season, so exciting. !!

I so miss getting to be here more often, but know you are all often in my thoughts and prayers. I at least read through posts when I can so I at least get to keep up with the news. .

Work today and I think the weekend off, will know when I see the schedule later today.

One week till thanksgiving, just have to pick up the turkey yet, but with turkey price wars going on in town that will be fairly cheap !

Woke up to a foggy and frosty morning. It is clearing now and it is set to warm up. This week has been unusually warm with temps reaching 16C!!! It's been beautiful and considering we barely had sunshine and warmth in August, I am happy to have had this week.
