Off for my Saturday morning ritual until mid-November...my weekly long run with my training group.

2.5 or 3 miles today in the RAIN. Looking forward to the cup of hot tea and lots of blankets and movies this afternoon...it's a chilly 52 here and rainy. This run is going to be interesting...

Not much planned for today besides relaxing and maybe a few house cleaning items...I was supposed to be out of town but the rain prevented that. Flooding is possible here. We've had so much this week! Ready to hit "reset" and move forward into a new week this weekend! Hope everyone has a wonderful fall day!!!

off to the farmers market, need some cheese and the best I've tasted is sold there.
then home to quick decorate a couple of small cakes for my nieces, they turned one and two this month, birthdays only a few days apart.

We buried Pocket yesterday, she is in the orchard at my brothers place next to their dog Charlotte. It is a beautiful spot. My son made a cross to make her grave site. We miss her so much.

I was supposed to go to another big craft fair today but it's cancelled due to the weather. I guess I'll go food shopping this morning and get that over with. I'm going to visit my parents later this afternoon and I'm definitely going to Hallmark at some point to check out the new ornaments. That's about it for me. Heading out soon to run some errands; going to take my car through the car wash for the first time EVER. My husband always does it for me as a surprise, but I'm doing it today. I know, make sure the windows are rolled up.
I also have to shop for a birthday gift for my husband and my dad who both celebrate on Monday. Haven't got their cards yet either and that takes a good half hour to sort through and make a decision.

Going to make hearty potato soup this weekend for lunches at work during the week. Thanks for the recipe, Holiday.

Good Saturday morning everyone! Yes Saturday...the best day of the week. How's everyone's weekend starting off? It is currently 47 degrees with rain here in the suburbs of NY. Feels almost more like early December, not October. I'm glad it's not December though because I want to enjoy the slow (hopefully) long ride to the holiday season.
My plans today are to exercise, do some errands, and some homework but...to try to relax some. I feel like the week is so hectic that when you reach the weekend personally I'd prefer more quiet weekends where I have time to actually just stop...we're always on the go in life it seems. Those moments or days or even that hour out of your day where you can just stop...feels really good.
Anyway, having my iced coffee and coffee roll here for breakfast. During the week I just eat cold cereal or yogurt so on the weekend I treat myself to something different/special. Enjoy your Saturday!

Good afternoon everyone. This rainy dreary chilly weather is not going to ruin my Saturday. I must admit though I am having a bit of summer withdrawl today. I can take a day or 2 of rain and dreary weather but after a full week of it...it's a bit much. Fortunately the weather forecast for next week looks pleasant with some actual sun. Gotta soak in the nice days this autumn. About to enjoy a slice of sausage pizza for lunch with some salad. Don't think I'm going back out today.
