I called the holistic doctor and they just recommended the usual peanut butter, cream cheese, butter, etc. None of that works because she feels the capsule and spits it out. Her cough suppressant is a tablet, so I've been able to cut it up small. It's easier to hide when it's in tiny pieces.

I'm having one of those days where everything thing is running later than planned. Hope everyone is having a good day. For most of you it's probably only just starting?

Hey does anyone know of any SAFE ways to deter cats from doing their business from my garden. The unknown feline has taken to a spot next to my front door which really isn't ideal!! It's really frustrating me. I've just had to clean up FOUR spots of it!!! It's not even my cat!!! LOL!! ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to get Maggie to take her cough suppressant yesterday but I'm not having any luck with the capsules from the holistic doctor. I don't know what I'm going to do with her. I don't know how something so small be such high maintenance!

Good morning everyone, Happy Thursday!
Dragging my feet today, just sitting here having another cup of coffee. I need to get moving soon. I have to run to Rite Aid to refill Maggie's cough suppressant. My youngest has off from work & school today so we're going to take a ride to the outlets to pick up a few things. We also plan on grabbing lunch at Chipotle while we're out. Back home afterward to get some chores done and hopefully squeeze a workout in, if I can find the energy. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!

Harlowe seemed a little better this morning, she still seems nauseous- she wants to be comforted by me. But, so far no getting sick. And she did eat & drink a little.

Thanks Stacey, some good tips there. Today, I've squeezed a few lemons and oranges and sprinkled the peelings about hoping that this might help. I read that cats don't like the smell of citrus. Also read that sprinkling ground coffee and cinnamon are good too. We shall see

We are heading to the lake. Most of our friends will be up. Hoping for some bonfires. We'll go somewhere to watch the buckeye game at noon Saturday. I'm hoping to make a pot of soup over the fire after the game, but we'll see! I don't think we have any plans on Sunday.

When we lived in the Las Vegas, our home was built on land that was previously open desert. All kinds of critters had called it their home. So, once we landscaped our back yard, we had all kinds of animals trying to get back in. Some actually climbed the cement walls. We placed some of those owls (heads move) on the corners of our wall, to deter / scare off them.
