We are going through the same thing FS--I'm missing my morning run due to a swollen scratchy throat...and I was JUST sick last week. It's been a stressful season at work, and I know my body is telling me I'm not taking care of it...time to drink some tea and rest up! I work tomorrow as well!

I'm doing some cooking and food shopping today, and hopefully a little cleaning if I can get up and feel okay. Lots of resting for sure is on for today! I want to get back to running Monday!

Oh no. You too? We don't have time to be sick! I agree though, I think we honestly need to look after ourselves. We must need the rest so we can fully kick it out our system. I will be thinking of you and hoping that you can get some rest this weekend. Take it easy and prayers for you to be back to good health.
 
Good Morning/Afternoon christmas friends....Hope everyone is having a fab weekend so far...Ive not been on here lately just been super busy with work and the family...We are all so excited here as we head off on holiday tomorrow to Disneyland Paris for a week...Enjoy your weekend guys:)

Thanks for the congrats as well! It is a very exciting time for me - I'll be fully trained in every aspect of nursing at our hospital (except for the operating room/recovery room), which I think is great. God Bless your husband - a chaplain is a blessing in my eyes.

Good Saturday morning MMC. It's currently 47 degrees under partly sunny skies in the suburbs of NY. Chilly but hey it's October. Feels like it should. We are expecting a high of 63 degrees under mostly sunny skies. Perfect fall weather (although a little coolish for me but I'm enjoying the 60s). How's everyone feeling as they wake up to their weekend? I love reading MMC during the week and posting but it's definitely even more fun on a weekend or day off to sit here relaxed having breakfast reading all these great posts from these great people.
Today I am gonna do my normal stuff (after all I do have some form of OCD, but don't most people haha) and I'm going to meet up with a friend at the park. She wants to go "walking." Since I started my running streak over 2 years ago I still enjoy going for a walk sometimes. We always talk about work, life, school, family, and stuff. She's one of the coolest people I ever met. I met a lot of people "online" back when I was in my late 20s-early 30s but very few ever stuck. For some reason we just became pretty good friends. She seems to accept me for me...I don't know why lol. Oh yeah and tonight dinner will be homemade pizza. Life ain't so bad huh?

Have a wonderful walk with that lovely friend of yours. friends are truly precious especially. Homemade pizza sounds really good. Think I 'll make some this week. Tonight I am making roast chicken. Enjoy your day!
 
The beauty of having MMC friends, is that you guys are time zones ahead of me. So when I can't sleep, I have somewhere to come hang out!

And there is no better way to start a Weekend day (or any other day, for that matter) than with a review of the count numbers, which get more and more exciting by the day!

Here they are:
Days to Halloween: 21 (Three weeks from today!)
Days to the Season: 34 (Under 5 week left!)
Days to Christmas Day: 77 (Under 11 weeks left!)
(Time's a movin', Folks.)


Well, it looks like two days of contrast.
Beautiful weather here yesterday -- moderate temps, low humidity, no rain, gentle breezes.
Now today? Well it's supposed to be chilly, dark and rainy.
(That's the kind of contrast I can do without.)
This morning has begun here at 66 degrees under very overcast skies.
