Good evening,

Caught up yet again, I got to stop getting so far behind.
Day off was good, could have used more downtime though. Two more days until a weekend off, we are planning to head up to Yankee Candle on Saturday for our annual fall trip for Macintosh for me, something pumpkin for the wife, and our Christmas scents. Can't believe it is already that time.
They are also talking about some snowflakes flitting about on Sunday, I can't wait.
Finally watched our first Halloween DVD tonight, Good ol' It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Time for some sleep now.

Goodnight, everyone.

Just found out my grade on my 1st of 3 in-class Calculus exams. I got an 85. And I looked with one eye covered because I was so nervous. Normally an 85 is "good grade" but to me I could not have asked for more. This class just seems so hard...people are dropping out and stuff. I'm taking it over cause my grade was not good last year in it. So for me to be pulling all 80s/90s so far in my homeworks and quizzes online and now the true test the one in class I couldn't be happier yet I know that I am gonna have to work harder to do well on the 2nd test. It doesn't get easier from here only harder.

Congrats! You have every reason to be pleased with that result. Calculus is hard! Continue working hard and staying dedicated. Good luck with second test.

Having a reaction from the flu shot because my immune system is already compromised-nothing severe but just a fever, slight cough, and chills...it's worth it so that I don't pass the flu to the residents where I work! And it's mandatory, so-no choice makes things easy!

Trying to rest up tonight with lots of juice, popsicles, and chicken broth. I'm sure it'll pass soon! Until not, I'm watching Gilmore Girls and curling up on the couch! Happy Pines Night you all! Maybe Carl can whip me up some cold care beverages-including my fave hot tea!

Hope you all had a great day. You all brighten my days even when I'm sick (it's been a rough few weeks!)

I am so sorry to hear you are having this reaction to the flu shot especially as you have not been well for the last few weeks. I hope that you can have complete recovery soon. You will get there. Take good care of yourself and rest as much as possible. Thinking of you and sending cups of tea and biscuits.

I am so looking forward to this weekend, I have it off for the first time since mid August.

Enjoy your weekend off! I know how you feel. I will have a full weekend off at the end of the month and can't wait! My last sun off was in August too.

I just tried one of the best frozen pizzas I have ever tasted the other day I don't know if it has rolled out all over the country yet but it is called "The Screamin' Sicilian Pizza Co." I tried the Holy Pepperoni. It is a little pricey for frozen pizza but well worth it.

Good evening,

This looks so good. If it's good I don't mind paying extra. I doubt we get this brand here though.

Have fun on your trip. I can hardly believe it this time of year too. Enjoy every minute of it and I hope you all get some good bargains.

Hello everyone. Work continues to be busy as I transition to my new job. But you all are always on my mind and I hope you have a great night!
Hope the transition is going well, Ryan.
Thoughts & prayers!
Happy Friday Eve~

Have a great time at Yankee Candle Co.!
It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Is the best!

Don't you hate those times when a bunch of expensive repairs are needed all at once? We've had dental work (both of us), car repairs, and a new water heating system, all in two weeks. This has to stop!

The "check engine" light turned out to be $800+. Ouch. Some kind of road debris slashed an emissions filter open, and that set off the light.

I sure do hate those times. Snowflake and I have started a support group :D :D as we are all in the same boat! Unexpected costs all at the same time! Grrrr! It feels overwhelming especially with Christmas coming. Grateful for the things that are going well though - just need to remind ourselves of those in times like these.

Fingers crossed that our luck changes.

Merry Thursday! Hope everyone is doing well.
My son had a very good birthday yesterday. Thanks again for all the well wishes.
As we were driving around yesterday, I noticed a drastic increase in leaf-fall and colour. It was beautiful and it seemed so sudden compared to early last week.

My head feels stuffy and I have either another cold or still haven't got over that last one. I'm not sure. I feel fine mostly though.

Well I better get some things done. It's almost like boxing day after a birthday :D Can't believe his birthday has come and gone. Next up Halloween !!

Morning! How are you? We had a very good day, thank you :) He enjoyed his day and we had fun.

Been thinking of you and HMG. How is Harlowe? Did you speak to the vet about those results?
Glad to hear it!

I finally caught up with her last evening.
She said she heard the murmur when doing an exam, and that it's hard to tell much more about it from that. I informed her that another vet had mentioned it as well, when Har was a puppy-in Vegas. But we had not heard it mentioned since that, so we had hoped she outgrew it. She told me some symptoms to look out for, if it progresses. And that they don't typically treat it with medications until heart failure begins.
It is all very upsetting to me.
She sent me more information, that I'll print & read today. Hopefully being educated about it will empower me, not just scare me even more.
Please keep her in your prayers ❤️
Thanks for asking.

I am so sorry Stacey. I understand the worry and my heart is heavy for you. Like you say, having more info on it especially about what symptoms to look out for will at least make you feel a tad bit in control and you can act quickly if need be. It will be hard not to get scared after you get more familiar with the info but remember every case is different. I pray that her condition does not get worse and she will be happy and healthy for a very very long time. Keep courage and strength and most of all faith. I am here to listen whenever you need it. Prayers always. (Hugs)

Thank you, Sam ❤️
I am emotional now, hopefully I'll pull it together today, and feel empowered & in control of the situation eventually.
I still have to talk to Adrian about everything. There are tests that we can run, however they will just rule things out and she said there's really nothing they do for animals with heart murmurs until the heart failure begins, so most people just watch for worsening symptoms. I pray I never see them. Thanks for your prayers, friendship & kind words.
xx

I got hit with the flu last year pretty badly. I was out of work for 1.5 weeks. I will probably get the shot this year also.
Yikes the last time I was close to being THAT sick was actually in December of 2010. I'll never forget it I was trying so hard to get better in time for Christmas. I just couldn't shake it. I dragged myself to work some days and wound up having to be sent home early. It was pretty bad.
