Hey! Quick check in, had a couple of people check up on us with the floods we have here in Dallas, thank you! Thought I better update that we are good but it is really bad with lots of roads closed. Due to this rain my daughter did have a car accident, she's a little sore but did not require having to see a doctor. The rain has continued falling and flooding continues. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Good Saturday Morning MMC! We currently have 37 degrees under partly sunny skies. We are expecting a high temperature today of 55 with partly sunny skies. The late October chill is here.
Now on to some BUSINESS. This is what we enjoy reading every morning. Time for the count. Let's take a look at some numbers this Saturday morning shall we?
Days to Halloween: 7 (that's 1 week from TODAY!)
Days to the Season: 20 (LESS than 3 weeks away!)
Days to Christmas: 62 (LESS than 9 weeks away!)

Wow those numbers are almost frighteningly low. But this is what we wait for all year. To be THIS close...yet we still have everything ahead of us. It's a great view to be THIS close yet a great feeling to know we still haven't even started the Christmas Season yet! Enjoy where we are right now and let's enjoy every single minute that we can leading into it all beginning.

Maggie's doing pretty good. She finished her antibiotics yesterday, her cough is much better. There definitely must have been some kind of respiratory infection going on. We're getting ready to go out for a walk soon :)

She is doing pretty well, thanks. Had a bit of an upset stomach last night, but is hanging in.
Two days straight of uninterrupted rain doesn't help ;) Poor pups.

Lydia and I still went for our daily walk before the rain and wind came later in the day. We bundled up and had fun in the chilly fall weather. I can't get enough of that dead leaves smell!

As I am typing this two of our old Hondas are being towed to the dealership where we traded them in for a new Ford Fusion. Our Hondas served us very very well and I pushed for another Honda, but my Husband did loads of research and went with this new Ford. (One Honda is 14 years old, the other is 17 years old. He fixed and fixed and fixed them.) He brought the Ford home last night and it is SWEET! I really, really, really don't want a monthly car payment, but here we are and I am just going to enjoy our first new car ever! :)

Good Morning. I slept in this morning until after 10 am. That's a first for me in such a long time, with so much going on, I have not been sleeping very well, I was exhausted and it caught up to me. Lisa's grandfather passed away yesterday very peaceably about 1am. We were there up till 8 pm and we were the last ones to see him before he left to be with his wife in heaven.

Today is the viewing, tomorrow the funeral. My MIL wants it over and done with quickly. I can understand and respect that. Life goes on and this is just another part of the life that we get to experience and one day go thru ourselves....It was just hard to watch at times. But I do understand that it is life. He was comfortable, with family present and in no distress or pain. I am happy that now he is in heaven.....
