A belated Happy Thursday to everyone! I'm late to the party today.

A very busy day off for me. I've spent ALL day finalizing my Kringle Radio hours for the big Santa Tracking broadcast. One of them just wouldn't come together---all sorts of logistical and technical gremlins seemed to be conspiring against me, but I think I finally got it. I'm not 100% satisfied, but time marches on and the programs are in pretty good shape, including Mr.'s hour. Some year I will start early enough and get everything JUST the way I want it!

I'm sure it will be superb!!!

Forgot to mention: My "Christmas" cactus is bursting out with buds! It'll probably be in bloom by Thanksgiving.

Hello everyone.

Well, this weekend will be busy. I'm almost done with my masters degree but first I must take a comprehensive exam (open book, thankfully but full of 2,000 word essay responses), and finish a major research proposal. Oh, and a ten page paper but I'm not overly worried about that one. So, this weekend I'm locking myself in the house and will work to complete it. My wife is taking the kids to her parents some, and I'll miss them, but they'll be home in the evenings. Still, we love our weekend time together but it will all be over soon!

This is how busy I am: I'm missing the opening weekend of the new Bond film! I'm ashamed of myself. I've seen everyone opening weekend since 1995's Goldeneye.
But there's a light at the end of this tunnel and I'm almost finished with school forever!

Good evening everyone! Nice day outside today with a high of 72 degrees. Tomorrow, it is possible that we could see 80 degrees, that's nuts for this time of year. But, Saturday, High's in the 50's and low's in the 30's, there's a 30 degree swing for you. Not much going on tonight, getting this post in before heading upstairs for the night. 4:30 rolls around pretty darn early, too early if you ask me....

Being a Browns fan in Ohio, I really dislike when the Bengals beat the Browns!!!

Just finished watching my Bengals beat the Browns 31-10, so they are now 8-0. Something about this years team is so different from years past, I am really starting to get excited about what may be coming this teams way.
The Bruins, well we will just say that's it about them after tonight's game.

Turkey season is starting to pick up, and so are the muscle aches, only 18 more days to go.

Bed time beckons.

I don't know what's going on with your Bengals this year either!!! LOL! It's probably that "Eifert" guy! My Grandma was an Eifert so Mom always says "THAT'S my cousin!" HA! (he is probably actually our relation somewhere down the line - should research it!)

As an aside, I know that eastern TN is in the central time zone, and the rest of the state is in the central zone. How crazy is that?

I live in East TN in the eastern time zone. If anyone goes to middle TN, we always have to say "our time or their time"?

I had my first eggnog of the season this morning with my breakfast. DD likes it too, so now we have a three generation love of eggnog: Dad, me, DD!

My grandmother had one. We just inherited a bunch of records when DH's aunt died & she had at least one, maybe two or three in her collection. We have an old turntable so we may have to get some of them out and play them this season!
