TGIF, my Christmas friends, and Happy Start of the Season!!

Not even Friday the 13th can slow this day down!!

I'm still trying to get over the time change a couple weeks ago, so there was no way I could have stayed up to bring in the season with y'all, but it sounds like a raucous time was had by all! LOL

Today is Lulu's 6th birthday! Elizabeth is making her a peanut butter cake later today, and I'll take her for a long ride in my truck while she hangs out.

Happy Friday Friends! Just working today and tonight my oldest daughter is going to a middle school dance and then having 3 of her friends sleeping over. Otherwise should be a quiet weekend. Good Christmas Season morning, everyone!

Magic was in the air last night. The 2015 Christmas Season has arrived! After counting down, it's finally here. This is a fantastic time of year where the world welcomes in the Most Wonderful Time of the Year, which we long for all year long.

As previously mentioned, I'm excited to return home tonight and pull all the decorations out of storage to begin the festivities. Kim will get to indulge in the sweet tastes of Christmas, while I have to wait another three or four days due to my surgery. At least I will be get to marvel in the music and movies.

Which album is first played? Which movie is first watched? These will be hot topics tonight! So many favourites, so many choices.

Well, I am at Russell right now. The class is super quiet and well behaved. Next period, I have the same kids (Grade 10s) again. Next period, they will be putting up their classroom Christmas Tree. I thought about playing a bit of Jeff's latest Christmas Tree discussion from the Merry Podcast, but I didn't have time to find the exact timestamps. Oh well!

It's been a wet day around Canada's Capital and doesn't seem to be stopping. At least it is still warm enough for rain and not snow. Have a great Friday, everyone! The weekend is almost here. The Christmas Season is here!

I am sorry I can't keep up with replies today.

I have finally got the gas to the cooker reconnected! He came at 5pm and almost didn't make it. I have been waiting all day!

Tonight I plan on watching some christmas movies and relaxing with a mulled cider and new spiced apple candle! Bliss!

The photo reminds me of meeting Tom Baker (the one who played Doctor Who) back in the 1980s. I and two friends had our picture taken with him---he had his arm around me, and I hardly knew where the camera was! I still think of that when I listen to his (fabulous!) audiobook of "A Christmas Carol." I wish I could find that photo ... I've ransacked the house two or three times and just can't find it.

Such a shame you can't find that photo! Bet it was quite special meeting him!

Good Friday Morning MMC! It's currently 52 degrees under mostly clear skies. We are expecting a forecast high temperature of 56 degrees under partly sunny skies. Sounds like a nice 1st day of the Christmas season.
Hard to believe it's really here huh? I had a bit of a tough day yesterday as the work day went kinda hectic and then my exam was well let's just say difficult . Fortunately the exam is only 10% of my grade and I've done well on everything up till now so even if I didn't do well it won't kill my overall grade.
Anyway, it's official we made it to the Christmas season! Time to start watching Christmas shows and listening to Christmas music. I'm going to be doing lots of that this weekend.
Oh and did I forget to mention it's Friday? TGIF! Hope you all have a great November 13th aka a special day to us here at MMC. . May your 1st day of the Christmas season be a great one and lead you all into a great and Christmassy weekend.

Merriest of mornings, MMC, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Wish I could have stayed up with you all! I have a big weekend ahead tomorrow...my husband is running his first marathon and I'm running my 8th 8K (4.96 miles). I haven't trained well for this one, so I'm pretty nervous. I hope I can just finish and have run the whole thing! Wish me luck.

Hello all,

Yesterday was my birthday, I turned 52! Gosh, the years are just blowing by like the leaves outside the window on my house.
I also got a phone call yesterday evening (at 6 pm) from the company I interviewed with weeks ago and they hired me over the phone last night, with the catch that I have to start this coming Monday. Whoa...was not expecting that-at-all! , well, cannot say no, because it is a job of a lifetime, so I accepted. Today I have gotten into the office early, already packed up all my office contents and put them in the van before anyone came into the office this morning. Now, I have to break the bad news to them...feel a little bad....
My kids gave me a swell birthday last night, trying to cheer me up, especially because they know how sad I have been lately with so many negative things going on in my life at the moment. So many, too many to list and well everyone has them, so I will not go into details. It's just accepting them and dealing with the cards that you have drawn from the deck of life....

Only 52? Happy Birthday to you !!
