Thanks, Auntie. The song speaks to me every year. So glad I could make a connection with my ad my first special post.

Brad and Cass appreciate your support. My brother is really taking it very hard.

I recall discovering my budgie, Smokey Joe dead in his cage when I was younger. I screamed, "He's dead. My God he's dead!" My mom came running up from the basement where she was doing laundry fearing from my shrieking voice that one of my brothers was dead. I've always found it hard losing pets and still remember them fondly after they're gone. My dog, Ragmop, lived for nearly 18 years and I still think about her and sometimes she visits me in my sleep, rises up on her back legs and talks to me. Smokey Joe was flying loose in my bedroom one Christmas Eve and I accidently left the door opened just a crack and he escaped and flew around the living room throwing my Great Auntie Vera into a panic. I called him and he landed on my shoulder and I took him back to my room. Poor Vera nearly had heart failure and so did Smokey as she was swatting away at him, his heartbeat sped up quite a bit. I didn't know she was afraid of birds, everyone blamed it on the Hitchcock film.

My grandson's dog, Jake died last September, he was a great comfort to his mom when she was battling cancer for the third time. My cousin's dog, Dexter (huge white sheppard/hound mix with satelite ears) died at the end of August after one last canoe ride on the river at their camp. I only met those dogs a few times, but still felt bad for their loss and the realization that I won't see them again because pets become family and it hurts when they're gone.

Good Afternoon MMC !

Had to take my van into the ford dealership this morning which is why I could not be here sooner. It got recalled for a defect in the rear axle. They inspected it and found a hole about the size of a dot, so recommended it be replaced. Would only cost me $300 which is my share of the cost. hmmmm, factory defect but I have to pay....is something wrong with that thinking or is it just me?

Anyway, back to the really important stuff...working on the model for my gingerbread house for this year competition.

AND"""getting ready for tonight !!!!!

I'm with you; factory defect company pays.

Have a good Saturday, everyone! Right now I am watching the yearly arrival of Sinterklaas on TV. It's a children's fest we celebrate over here. It is always good fun. Later today I will play a match and go to a party after. Should be fun!

Here's to hoping you all have a great weekend!
:snowball

How exciting about Sinterklass! Enjoy the celebration and hope he arrives in good time ;) Enjoy your party and weekend!

Good morning!! Why am I awake? I dunno??? I must be excited to go Christmas Open house shopping with my lake friends! We are meeting at 8:30 - 9:00, going to the hardware store for German Family Christmas & possibly a couple other stores involved in the open house day... then to my favorite crafty store "Country Lane" then out for pizza & the Buckeye game at noon! Have a Super Saturday MMC!! Go Bucks!!
Continued prayers for all affected by the Paris attacks!
:(
Good to see you on a weekend around here. Have a fun Christmas type Saturday. Sounds like you have it planned for sure.

Good Saturday Morning MMC! It's currently 43 degrees with partly sunny skies. We are expecting a forecast high temperature today of 48 degrees under partly sunny skies. A chilly day but it is mid-November so it's not too far away from what it should be this time of year.
It's the first weekend of the season so I plan on watching as much Christmas stuff as I can. The cool thing about the first week or week and a half of the Christmas season is that it's pre-Thanksgiving and gives us a chance to enjoy it while things are still relatively calm. Once Thanksgiving hits all hell breaks loose for most of the world!
Prayers continue for those attacks in Paris. Have a great Saturday everyone!

Good night MMC friends
Thank you all for your love and support today.
Wishing you well sweet dreams and a fabulous weekend!:lightman
Good Morning, MsRose~
Prayers that your sister-in-law made it safely.
Continued prayers for all involved..
Sending you lots of love!
Hope you have a blessed day ❤️

Good evening,

A very long day today, worked all day, the turkey sales really took off today, this weekend promises to be an extremely busy one.
After work I picked up my boys and my grandfather and we went to the Springfield Falcons hockey game, it was a great game the Falcons won 6-3. It is great to have my boys spend time with their great grandfather, they are in awe of his age, he is 93 years old.
We just got home at 1030, and I finally heard about what happened in Paris, they had a moment of silence at the game, I hadn't heard about it at that point.
I will keep them all in my thoughts.

Back to work in the morning.

Goodnight, everyone
That's great that you and your family had a fun time at the game!
Hope you have a wonderful day~

Another great year all here together.
Think Auntie Mistletoe will check in?

One hour and 52 minutes.

She wanted to be there and she was thinking of it; had originally booked Friday off so I could stay up late with the (big people as I called them in my younger days), but had too much work to do so I had to cancel my vacation day. I told my brain to wake me up at 11:50 p.m., but it didn't listen to me.

Wanted to get on yesterday to post in the "season", alas time was lost in that effort as well.

Rest assured that I was with you in spirit as there was a sprinkling of snow in these merry parts to kick off the season in style. The snow has melted, but there's a touch of frost on my car this morning.

Thanks Tis. I finally heard from him this morning. He is okay apart from being shaken up and angry and he says our other friends are ok too. Thank goodness.

Have a good weekend.
So happy to hear that ❤️
Hugs and prayers.

Good morning, Holiday!
Happy Saturday!
Have a fun time today!! =]

Have a great weekend everyone, make sure to sing a Christmas carol or two at some point today.
Also prayers to those in Paris.
Have a great Anniversary weekend, DoubleA!
Great suggestion~
Hope you have a blessed day.

Next year this is on a Friday night !!!!

I'll make sure I'm not running any workshops the following day so I can be here LIVE and in Cyber-Person to greet the season with y'all.

"Love the Coopers" was an enjoyable movie. Not what I had imagined but John Goodman and Olivia Wilde were great, I will definitely watch it again on dvd.
We loved it, as well.
Much deeper than I expected, but light and fun at times, as well. Similar to the emotion range of Family Stone, so I guess it makes sense.
I love Diane Keaton! I will definitely buy this DVD! :)
